Leigh Halfpenny, Tommy Bowe, Brian O'Driscoll (captain), Manu Tuilagi, George North, Jonny Sexton; Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best, Dan Cole, Alun-Wyn Jones, Ian Evans, Tom Croft, Sean O'Brien, Jamie Heaslip.
Replacements: Tom Youngs, Mako Vunipola, Matt Stevens, Geoff Parling, Toby Faletau, Ben Youngs, Owen Farrell, Sean Maitland.

Looks an exciting side with the 4 time tourist leading the way.  Warburton again misses out and there must be concern now about him being ready for June 22.  However, Tipuric is in such good form we probably shouldn't be worried and on paper have excellent back row options everywhere.

Talk of Kearney being replaced considering he has a grade 1 hamstring tear, Que Monsieur Jonny as his replacement......

Sam WHO?

Tipuric has been brilliant every game ive seen him, including when he plays for the regions unlike some of his other welsh teammates who go missing/save themselves for Wales only?

I'm pretty sure Stephen Jones in the Sunday Times scored him 6/10 in the sports supplement for the Baa Baas match.

I had to rub my eyes. (the neighbour gets it)

he did indeed khyber but jones is a total tw@t who either revels in going against the consensus or simply does not have a clue (make yer own mind up) so don't be too surprised

Liking the look of this side (please no box kick Youngs)

Will it be Halfpenny or Sexton kicking goals today - anyone know?

Yes, like the look of the side, but really struggling to find a betting angle here! For me, anything over 30+ handicap has to be swerved in view of the warm-up nature of the game, but I have no idea about the Force. Some very negative comments about their line up on another thread. Maybe take the -27.5 pts as a 'low risk' option? Arrg, I dunno. Maybe I'll wait for the tennis!

Sexton, I think

I would have thought Halfpenny was more likely, but I haven't heard anything at all so not sure.

Sexton needs to be wrapped in cotton wool really, not many more important players if any for the Lions.

½p would take any long ones but that isn't happening in a 40 point cap game

Fair enough. Maybe he needs more practise. I wonder if this is relevant to the tests, as I expect both to start.

Yeah, that's really my point re the cap. This will obviously be a try out game, which makes me very wary of taking 30+ points. Anyone else got an angle?

1/2 penny is good insurance when it comes down to the kicking, bttr under pressure.

I've taken some Force +27.5 at 4/1 as I see that as a lot more worthwhile than the +39.5, which was evens at the time. If the Force stay in it both caps are possible, but if they really struggle the Lions have the firepower to win by 50. Hard to tell exactly how poor some of these Force players are.

What I don't know is how the Lions will start, but my guess is that they will be strong in the second half, especially as the Force use their dodgy bench.

Hmm, that was extremely easy. Force midfield could be an absolute disaster area.

How tall do you have to be to high tackle Tom Croft?

Nice move to finish there, looking very unlikely that the Lions don't absolutely crush the Force now.

100 points for the Lions ?
By:

I'd expect 60 or 70 here. The force are sh*te and aren't going to get any better from the bench.

You have to like the fact they're getting Halfpenny to kick, reckon they're going to be the best prepared Lions team in spite of the opposition

good to see Sexton in this form considering how poor Farrell has been.
By:

aye, a Sexton injury is probably the worst news possible to the Lions. Everyone else is replaceable, Sexton really isn't.
