The decider in this series is tipped to set all kind of records with predictions of televisions highest ever ratings in the Eastern States. So whilst sadly the game seems to be under pressure in England in Australia especially when it comes to Origin it is flying.

Below is a link to a preview of the game from Scott Woodward - i know at least one person last time commented on how good it was. Even if he doesn't get it right he certainly knows his stuff.

Enjoy the game and hopefully the game can continue to kick on well in England. At least take heart from the fact that it is possible for the game to be wildly successful based on it's success here.

Queensland are a banker, Inglis first try.

Queensland are definitely not a banker and the teams are finally extremely close.  The Blues forwards have started to get on top of Queensland and if Pearce and Carney play well I think the Blues have a real chance here to win the series, esp. with no Billy Slater playing.

My bet is Total Match Points under 34.5.  The first 2 games had 28 points each and rarely do we get blowouts in Origin.

Good luck!

ps also small bet on M.Pearce man of match@ $32, and J.Thurston @ $9

Think the Blues look stronger and much hungrier. They don't have the try scoring ability of QLD for sure but QLD without Slater and question marks over others it could be an upset. If not 4.5 start sounds ok!!

Brilliant, fight after 80 seconds!

How do you work out who is the main offender there?
By:

When: 04 Jul 12 11:18
dunno but punching somebody who's on the ground held down and completely defenceless is pretty pathetic...

Indeed, and it looks like Tate threw one on the ground to start it as well. Lucky boy.

Cracking break. Rare to see Thaiday miss anything like that.

Looked like it just about touched down on first view.

Would be nigh on impossible for the defender to stop that getting down with Morris's weight on it.

Does every woman in the Queensland crowd need to give the finger to the nearest NSW supporter?

Is it a condition of entry?

This is Australia, was only 2 years ago they were banned from fighting with knives......

Why does everyone go high on Inglis? One Faainga style shin chop and he'd be straight down!!

Lazy from Pierce. A possible forward pass. But brilliant from Thurston. Great play!

That's possibly the worst decision i have seen in rugby league.

Hannant took two NSW defenders out with that run -should have been no try

I wouldn't go that far. The GI try takes that cake. But the Blues have reason to feel aggrieved.

My god - that was so obviously stripped. These refs are homers.

All going very well for NSW to start with, but first of all Queensland start to find their feet, then the officials decide that we should have the same winner as last year......
By:

If NSW aren't on top up-front it's very hard to see where they score tries from. Taking a lot of hits to the head as well so far.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Hodges try for those that feel aggrieved, no obstruction or crossing. Lot of high shots being let go for both sides. QLD just have an extra gear by the looks of things.

expect fireworks, nsw nothing to lose,so either get back in game or even up those headhigh tackles esp those from the refs

As soon as you run behind your runners you are asking to be penalised. I don't think it was the most obvious case, but still no try for me.

Not sure it will matter though. Queensland look most likely to run away with this.

I made a decision a few years ago to just watch rugby.Up until then I'd watched both. But after my son was playing rugby on Saturdays, league on Sundays, rep rugby on Sunday arvos plus trying to watch a full round of NRL and Super rugby it was all getting too much,so I chose rugby.

When I go back to league, a few times a year I'm struck by how long they allow the defenders to hold down the tackled player. It's artificial and awful. It's hard to watch.

I saw a classic game on foxtel the other day from 1992. They tackled rolled away and the attacker got up and played the ball.It was so much faster than today.

That may have levelled the reffing up some what. NSW doing everything they could to mess about with Inglis there.

That's my biggest bugbear as well The_KAMIKAZEE_DRINKING_MACHINE, although it applies to Union also. I don't expect them to bounce up straight away, but I hate the amount of wrestling that goes on after the tackle has been made. Nobody in the crowd wants to see defenders doing some Greco-Roman moves when they should be running back to their line.

Williams is a thug, but I don't think he can be blamed for that. Cooper's head was going downwards and Williams' arm wasn't high.

Certainly compared to a lot of the tackles that haven't been picked up anyway!
