i see england not valuing this fixture already. tickets are going for a fiver as well. only way to get bums on seats in Huddersfield is to give them away for free.

if it was Wigan/Saints Bradford/Leeds at OT for 5 pound a pop like the Union games, then it would have no problem. Not sure why you keep harping on about the 90,000 for the freebie event, if you want to go like for like the Union struggled to sell out for their "grand final" for many many years........the 70k plus at OT trafford and the viewing figures wipe the floor with the Union counterpart.

well i would love to know how all the empty seats would be considered a sell out? I would say off the top of my head that the last 2 union GF's have looked full, before that the union fans struggled with the concept.
My dad is bigger than yours, bored of it now, im a lover not a fighter ;-)

I like to keep it going to see what tricky logic you will come up with next. Lots of opinion disguised as fact so far. I have no doubt that if the figures don't work it will be the intensity of the crowds next.....

anyway, Union is much more intense than League, the UK club game is bigger than Super League, Aussie RL is only big in Sydney........i have learnt that now, sorry for being so naive.

You can't have been listening to Eddie in the build up, he was probably worse!
Great patience there from Dureau. Miles clear as the best half-back on show here.

Can't believe the lack of atmosphere. Crowd looks and sounds non-existent.
Can't help but think that you'd never see this were it be England v Ba Ba's in union.

Clear knock-on by England and England end up with the advantage. Hope the reffing doesn't continue like that.
der_der will be on soon to tell us that there are 50,000 people there and it's intensity that matters......

for some reason, the huddersfield public don`t really do rugby league, giants attendances are extremely poor considering they have a good team, they ar`nt going to turn up for a meaningless match that costs 20 quid to watch

Huddersfield is a football town, not a rugby town. It was never clear why the RFL pumped money into Hudds (+Sheffield) in the early years of SL. I suspect it was something to do with Galpharm making promises. The support would have been much better directed at either Halifax or Keighley within the West Riding.
The whole concept of this Exiles thing is so flawed why would anyone spend money on it (or bet on it for that matter, but that's another story)?
Can't see the RFL doing this next year, there weren't so many at Saints either.

You have to love how an inch forwards in the middle of the pitch is worth talking about, but 5 yards forwards out wide to score a try can be overlooked!

When he first came down here he was being talked about as a future star. There were reports of him destroying people on the training field. Then it all kind of went downhill very quickly. Saw him come on for the last 20 minutes of a game and he looked awful. Overweight, slow and disinterested.

Atkins and Briscoe are not looking good, but I don't think it's actually them to a large degree. England are not numbering up and Smith, Atkins and Briscoe keep having 4 to deal with. Only one result in that case.

i know england are missing personel, but come on,that was ****
one sad factor of summer rugby is the lack of a long aussie tour and the intensity it brought, they hav`nt toured here since 2003 and even then it was only 3 matches

In league forward passes only exist in the middle of the field when they possibly, but not definitely, go about 2 inches forwards. That was out wide and led to a score so is irrelevant.

It's a great worry that England look clueless out wide while a patched together Exiles team at least know how to run an arc. Core skills etc etc.

Even Eddie and Stevo know they won't even be competitive with Australia in the World Cup.
Forget Australia actually, England couldn't even beat New South Wales never mind Queensland.

The very best England have is still very good, but they are far too few. Burgess and Ellis have been massive hits over in Australia and Graham should join them. Nothing wrong with Tomkins and Roby, but after that you are already starting to scratch around. NSW would fear those players, but then start laughing when their 4th choice centre takes Cudjoe to the cleaners......
