Just when you think Labour couldn’t be more out of touch with the electorate.

From today, charities can apply to sponsor refugees through new, capped Named Community Sponsorship and Refugee study safe and legal routes.

Sponsors will provide accommodation, integration support and help finding work.

First arrivals are expected in autumn 2027.

Shrewd i don't think they care , and they wont while the media seem to be continuing to give them a free pass to say anything they like with no hard questions.

The programme will initially operate in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Uganda and Kenya

The whole things crazy. Again it’s one of those Labour policies you read and wonder whether it’s just a bad joke at first.

Why are we bringing in refugees that are already in those countries that aren’t experiencing any war or major disasters?

Dunno much about this, but it maybe better news than you think.

Many charities campaign on behalf of asylum seekers, with no cost of the consequences themselves.

If these changes are what they seem, the government can say to these charities:

[i]"If you want 'em here, You pay for everything then."[/]

How many charities as well are indirectly funded by the tax payer anyway via government funding or via the National lottery etc.
