Q :what will Burnham say during PMQ.
With a list of words  and phrases with individual prices, surely the opposition might be in with a fair bit of knowledge on this one.
Also are the questions not given prior to the show starting?

No mention of it being ir and only time I see is 12 pm Oct 14 so presume Market closes then?

Ukraine/Ukrainian looks a cert lol, Liz Truss not so much.

Thoughts?

Seems to cover the whole session, not just Badenock's questions. So the friendly questions from labour goons too.

This is the penultimate session before the budget. I certainly wouldn't rule out their favourite phrase, Truss crashed the economy.

So opposition gets 6 questions, third largest 2,backbenchers have to write thars on a bit of paper and they drawn from a box raffle style.
All other mps must try and catch speakers eye.

Tbh I stopped watching this panto years ago and hardly heard a propper curved ball thrown.

Pretty meaningless nowadays, Hoyle lets the pm get away with answering a different question to the one asked. And it's all set up to try and create clipped up stuff for social media.

You'd be pretty surprised though if Badenoch's people are not trying to get barnum into a trap ahead of the budget.

if not her, definitely tory goons

A couple of bigger prices landed, iron dome and Trump.
Report breadnbutter • October 14, 2026 8:40 PM BST
What were the prices?
Report Cider • October 14, 2026 9:36 PM BST
The market had settled when I looked at it, so just showed 'Winner' against the weighed in ones. I don't know the specific prices but they were among the bigger ones being traded. Pretty sure I saw double figures for iron dome.

There were around 8 winners iirc.

Ukraine/Ukrainian was 1.47 when I posted, considering pm has to divulge his week ahead diary and was meeting Zelenski in the afternoon I thort it looked nailed on.
Looked an hour later it was 1.18.

Of the others energy was 1.12 but not sure of rest, think a lot on here prob back summit short two years away and spend thar time campaigning on phorum if they actually bet.

So where can we find the results?

Catherine West (Hornsey and Friern Barnet) (Lab):

I think we all remember where we were in the summer
of 2022 when Liz Truss crashed the economy. The
mortgages that ordinary families around the country
were paying went through the roof. A shiver went down
the spines of all the people who had pensions invested,
as civil servants were sacked and the general reputation
of the economy in the UK was trashed.

Mortgage rates are much higher now, under Labour Crazy

Welcome to the machine.

But the results on here with prices,a nut eye have yet to crack!
Report Cider • October 16, 2026 6:11 PM BST
I'm not sure there'll be a record of that anywhere.

Yes, obviously Andrew Bailey 'crashed the economy' at that time, fabian that he is. Although, the economy obviously didn't actually crash, he was largely responsible for the spike in bond yields that led to the disruption in retail mortgages (and LDI problems).

Very short term gain for the wet Tories who wanted Sunak, whatever the cost. They burned their capital of being advocates for lower taxes. But it worked, the public blames Truss and the genuine underlying causes are not easily explained to the great unwashed.

The LIBOR fallout is still drifting around, was much bigger than anyone imagined, all those convictions quashed, but still a few, well questions I suppose as the big boys are bomb proof.
Were they just out to make a lot of wongo or were they doing it to prevent total meltdown?

Banks/financial sector created the mess, hopefully it's better regulated now and ready to act long before it's every man for themselves time again.

The whole 'drama' in 2022 can really be traced back to the GFC, as you allude to. Ending covid lockdown precipitated the normalisation of interest rates. Bailey dumping gilts onto the market just expedited the correction for the UK. Sept 2022 was a mere blip, as any chart will show, when the Fed indicated to the market that they would be hiking interest rates. Inevitably bringing cash back to USD, deflating sterling.

QE obviously and effective negative rates led to the asset inflation in equities (esp US) and property.

It's felt like it for a while, but it's surprising really that nothing has properly popped yet. It's only a matter of time, and it won't be straight forward to get past this month's budget, although I expect plenty of lying and manipulated forecasting.
