Emitdeb the moment someone says stop all further action becomes nonconsensual.

Would you have pressed on, like Brand is alleged to have done?

This would be her word against his with no witnesses.. Can you convict someone on that??

That's for the jury to decide.

Very difficult to get a conviction he said she said one on one

6 unconnected complainants giving credible
evidence with related themes in first police interview could be quite compelling.

Testimony becomes important for honesty/ consistency

Then you've got jury taking a dislike to one
person so deciding accordingly.

6 week trial, prosecution must think evidence exists, but can they get a verdict

Hmmm!

Mark Pinheiro's testimony was quite damning, If I was a juror hearing that, I would be thinking guilty of that particular charge....

From the truncated evidence I've heard, the evidence of Mark Pinheiro backs up Woman 1's claim. Something did happen that night and it wasn't consensual.

Hope Andrew Sachs is enjoying the trial from above, Brand will hopefully get what he deserves.

Hopefully the Savile type enablers will get their coverage of this right, but realistically I don't hold out much hope Escapee for the BBC covering anything honestly.

I have an opinion..

Case 1. This young woman was naive and made some very poor decisions that night. Report it within the week, not 24+ years later. (R*pe not proven) I'm not putting Russell Brand in prison for this one.

Case 2. Tried to drag me into toilets!, begged me to follow him into toilets!.. This sound horrible.. Should we put Russell Brand in prison for that?  Crazy

Week two and Russell's MO is becoming clear.

I wonder if he has bumped into Tommy Robinson.

Case 3. I'm not sending Brand to prison after this accusation..
