SAINT-DENIS, France, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Dozens of people have been injured and hundreds arrested, most of them teenagers, officials said, in a wave ‌of French student protests against teacher shortages and dilapidated buildings that on Wednesday spread to more schools across the country.
The demonstrations and blockades, which began last week and coincided on Tuesday with a broader public-sector strike, have become a political flashpoint at a sensitive moment for France, as they spread to 356 high schools and turned more violent.

Getting serious.

PARIS, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Attackers doused a headteacher in petrol and started fires in at least two schools on Thursday, officials said, as increasingly violent student protests raged ‌across France against staff shortages and dilapidated buildings.
Hundreds of young people surrounded a fire truck that had arrived to put out a blaze at Marseille's Saint-Exupery high school in the morning, police said. The attackers forced the firefighters to flee the vehicle, then set it alight.

I'm guessing given the lack of coverage in the UK media that these aren't what they would call far right riots.

Is it pesky people named Jean and Marie-Claire Dupont who are out there in France doing the rioting, vandalism, looting, attacking police etc ?

Or do these rioters look similar to the culturally-enriching types who celebrated Morocco football wins (and losses) with similar activity ?

Not hard to see how the ones actually living there like to put their ammunition dumps and bases under schools and hospitals.

Just as well we don't have a home secretary trying to import more of them....oh wait.

Media reporting it as student riots.

Schools burnt down, teachers beaten, shops looted, property destructed.

It’s ethnic riots.

Democratic destiny.

Rehearsal for the big one.
