Merz told reporters on Sunday that he would forge ahead with his coalition government's plans to push through a package of economic, tax and welfare reforms.

Sounds like Starmer , The clock is ticking for the big man

He would be replaced by Weedle if there was any justice but that seems unlikely at the moment. They blatantly created the Brandmauer political firewall to keep the AfD out. The centre right has to form unnatural coalitions with the far left and various other spotty Herberts to prevent the AfD from forming the coalition they would need to govern. But Alice Weedle has a cunning plan - force them into weird coalitions and tear themselves apart. The German government will become increasingly unstable because they share very little policy agreement with their coalition partners, which will alienate their own bases. Eventually they will have no choice but to accept a popular Chancellor like Alice.
