Illegal working isn't illegal for illegal immigrants, believe it or not. Little wonder they appear to be above the law, as they actually are.

Investigations into unregulated sectors (such as hand car washes, agriculture, construction, and informal gig economy "microwork") frequently uncover workers earning between £3 and £5 an hour, or sometimes less.

Let me know if you need a reference.

What a ridiculous thing to come out with. Nobody's jealous, try furious.

who is paying for this full board and pocket money ?  That would be the taxpayers, you know like the ones you just told to "get a better paid job and stop whining".
Not much point doing that if your taxes are going to fund illegals and the feckless Cry

Bear cub, your 21.25 post...investigations frequently uncover workers earning 3 to 5 pounds an hour
Well, A...how frequently, one in a thousand?...have you any figures?
And B...if your board and lodging is free, that's still 150-200 quid a week pocket money anyway...not too shabby, if you're fleeing poverty and persecution

People who have paid income tax and national insurance for 30 years and lose their job get.........£95 a week. Seems fair, when compared to the gravy boat grifters.

You must all be in the poor house being jealous of what immigrants are getting

Bear cub, it's not jealousy, as you well know, it's anger at what asylum seekers, mostly not genuine, are given...which you can't defend so you describe it as jealousy

Can't blame the grifters, only those facilitating, profiting, and pretending that there's nothing to see.

So Cider, people on less benefits delivering burgers to people on more benefits?
It's the food chain, I suppose

Yes, those asylum seekers must seem so attractive to the ladies

ha, yes it is really. those people delivering the big macs in the rain are doing so as the virtue signallers here offer them a much better life than they have in their original third world country, or anything available in all of the countries they traverse through to get here.

it is, of course, a means to an end and the free to them nhs is something they could only dream of. with a real prospect of eventually getting their extended family over, and gaining access to the superior benefits themselves. it's understandable, and pretty much nothing to lose for trying.

I agree cider, except for the bit about them not having the opportunities in the countries they traverse through...those countries could offer them the equivalent opportunities but are happy to wave them through...if they thought they would be getting a whole load of young working age men and women, who would add to their economy for years to come, and not be a drain on resources ...

This is the final destination. Very slim chance of being forcibly deported, even if a convicted criminal, let alone rejected asylum claimer.
