Spain had a spat with/stood up to isreal, a few weeks later american politians started publishing papers and asking questions doubting spains sovereignty over it's morocan exclaves... then 70,000 migrants arrived in one day.
England has a spat with/stood up to isreal, a few weeks later.... American politians start talking about falklands. Todays BBC reporting was keen to point out that an oil exploration project in the area is a joint british isreali venture. Why would they do that? |

1494 Spain and Portugal signed the Treaty of Tordesillas, dividing and claiming sovereignty of the entire and as yet mostly undiscovered planet outside of Europe between the two nations.
1690, an English captain made the first recorded landing on the Falkland island. 1880, Argentina became a country. 1982 & 2026, Argentina claims the treaty signed in 1494, 386 years before they even became a country gives them right of soveriegnty over Falklands. |

Here's a graphic of Spain & Portugal's soverignty according to the treaties of the late 1400's to late 1600's which is the basis of argentina's claim on the falkland islands

Not sure why Brits are interested in Falklands, it’s a Kip that costs them money, there is oil about there maybe ? Not sure about that but it would be heavy lifting to claim it.

First of all the only foreigners I have encountered were my wife was in hospital when she was ill and they were obviously medical professionals and they were magnificent in their profession and civil and just decent people.
Secondly Ireland don’t claim to own territory legally or illegally, miles and miles away from our island so options are limited, to help refugees have safe haven. |

At the time of the last war, there was serious doubt and negotiations over who America would side with; in the end, they went with the UK, who wouldn't have won without that help. Gotta chortle at the UK politicos' desperation as they realise the mistakes they've made in not getting involved with saving the world from iranian nukes, that The Don will have payback as he opts to support Argentina and one of his closest allies, Millei.
