Urgent manhunt launched after Sudanese prisoner who attacked two women escapes custody

Greater Manchester Police has launched a manhunt after a violent prisoner escaped custody while being transported to hospital.

Marwan Jumaa, who is said to be 20-years-old, was being transported from a secure hospital facility to North Manchester General for medical treatment when he absconded from custody.

Jumaa was sentenced for an assault on two women at Bromley Magistrates’ Court last year following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

GB News can disclose that Jumaa, a Sudanese national, does not have indefinite leave to remain.

Apparently splitting his time incarcerated between Belmarsh and an insecure hospital in Manchester.

What could possibly go wrong.

There will be a few in that cesspit likely to offer him refuge.

'was' serving an indefinite sentence for two violent robberies, injuring women and police, as reported.

Try offering a reward. This usually brings a positive result from any community. The absconder is a convicted criminal on two women.

They caught him on Friday, yet another rather expensive acquisition from Sudan.

Does every prisoner wear an electronic tag in prison? If not, why not? The tag would have all the info of the prisoner eg crime, date of release, etc.

I suppose that the vast majority of prisoners accept their fate so our police and prison service are not really used to dealing with the escape mentality which is more likely among migrants from war zones. What is also new is the apparent network of skilled lawyers who know the loopholes in our returns policy for convicted criminals. So many criminals, including the Rotherham gang leader, seem to be well able to access lawyers well versed in getting them released or at least allowed to remain in UK.

Subversion of the law. Easy when the cps, lawyers, civil service and judges are all playing for the same team. It's very convenient that everyone is gaslit into thinking it's down to incompetence, rather than malfeasance.

It is reported as I said that someone (or likely, faceless, unaccountable committee) determined that this thug splits his time between a high security prison in London, and some kind of mental health malarkey in Manchester. How much does that cost. Whatever 'therapy' he receiving won't be delivered in English. It must be malign. And obviously, materially increasing the risk of escape.

The Ministry of Justice has launched a legal challenge to prevent the publication of detailed crime statistics on foreign nationals, setting up a confrontation over transparency, privacy and the public’s right to access official data.

The department, led by Justice Secretary David Lammy, is appealing a ruling by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) that ordered it to reconsider a Freedom of Information request seeking conviction data by offenders’ nationality between 2018 and 2024.

What we will never find out saddo, is the number of cases dropped by the CPS, or they opted for the softest charges possible. Plenty of high profile cases like that, tens of thousands go unnoticed. I bang on about it endlessly, the CPS has so much real power and zero scrutiny.
Report alun2005 July 20, 2026 12:08 PM BST
On top of Lammy's disgraceful effort at blocking the publication of crime statistics that must obviously be embarrassing to Labour and the Progressives, we have recently learned that Starmer, Burnham and Home Secretary Mahmood all made absurd claims regarding a Pretendy Terror Non-Incident in Sussex. An imaginary "Right-Wing Terror Plot" which saw 12 people arrested, and all released without charge. The latter bit largely to media silence.

Mahmood's remarks were made in the House of Commons. In any sane world this would at least require an immediate resignation, never mind sacking.

Perish the thought that this organised orchestrated response had anything to do with trying to move the news agenda away from the murder of Ann Widdecombe.

Some effort and manpower goes into picking up a dozen people,
how could they be so wrong?
Report Cider July 20, 2026 1:44 PM BST
It's the agenda and ideology, they are forever banging on about the 'right wing' threat of terrorism et all. You only have to hear the testimonies of some of the folks involved in prevent.

It's really depressing, but plenty of people are susceptible to the gaslighting, and will believe it. My understanding is that psychologically, they only need to get a story out there. Very few people realise that it was hogwash, even when it is subsequently reported to be nonsense. Beech the obvious, high profile example.
Report saddo July 20, 2026 1:46 PM BST
I expect the media went large on the 12 arrests and failed to mention the release. Grin
Report Cider July 20, 2026 1:50 PM BST
That's the idea. And the idea behind creating the initial false narrative that left wing terrorist acts are not terror related. They don't care. As I said on the other thread, it's not incompetence it is malfeasance.

It's a long time ago so I don't recall the stats, but it's something like 9 in 10 people believe the first narrative they hear. Not the correction, days later.

I hope in my lifetime UK Plc does not experience a suicide bombing incident on their streets. The incidents with the IRA cannot be erased from the memory of the victims and pictures on tv.
Report saddo July 20, 2026 3:32 PM BST
IRA? They didn't do London 2005 or Manchester 2017, wake up.
Report impossible123 July 20, 2026 4:08 PM BST
What? The IRA were responsible for several car bombs in London in the 70's, 80's and 90's. The IRA were nearly successful in executing a barrage of missiles towards Downing Street from a parked lorry in the vicinity of Downing Street.

The prostration to the IRA can be traced back to the beginning of the country turning to shyte. In fact, Blair is at the root of it all.

Of course this spanner, Andy Crapp is still trying to fight the Thatcher fight, nearly 50 years later. When the prospects of the country took off.
Report impossible123 July 20, 2026 4:29 PM BST
"postration" is a big word to me.

Blair is a fortuitous Labour politician. He's someone of average intelligence but personable to many politicians. Mr Khan is another, in London "foreign" enclaves.
