I've never heard of her, but I've never heard Rush either. Porcy knows his music.

Only seen a clip of her doing the solo from Tom Sawyer.

She can definitely play and isn’t just a quirk. Made up for the that they can get back out there. They seem like decent fellas and I thought it was all over once Neil died.

I watched the entire opening night at the LA Forum and thought she was near technically perfect .
I think her detractors , although very few , are making the mistake of seeing her as a replacement for Neil Peart . I prefer to think of her as simply following on from him. One has to take into account the fact that she is having to tread a very fine line between reproducing Peart's unique style and adding her own subtle twists .
If you get the chance ,porky , check out YYZ . The 3 of them seemed to enjoy it as much as the audience .

I'm not sure Neil's style is that unique any more. Was in the 70s but that technical prog has infiltrated so much rock now. My mate's a huge Dream Theater fan and you could see either of their two drummers fancying it and doing a more than passible job of it. I think Anika's style before now was a bit more straight forward but she's obviously learnt and done well.

Yeah, the YYZ clip is good too. As said they seem really happy at being given a chance to play again which probably seemed gone not too long ago.

Must have been the Taylor Hawkins show that got them back maybe. I remember seeing Dave Grohl saying he'd play with them and wondering how, but it was only for Working Man which is basically just a Sabbath rip off, and then they had to get some jazz guy out for the other more complicated song.
