Biggest slimeball at the moment is Jenrick

And it's a very competitive field.

Currently think Chris Philp is in the running, don't think he is the brightest though.

The game's up darling. I'll take the tap. You'll have to resign. Best if you divorce me. Try feigning tears to camera. You're a woman. You'll get some sympathy, not much, but some.

Did Braveheart give his life for this?

You are obviously not a greyhound man Dixie, Stella was a staunch supporter of saving Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium for community. SOS campaigned ferociously.
Report MALAY May 25, 2026 11:24 PM BST
I’m sure Boris was initially on the save Walthamstow track team, but then jumped ship and approved the development for some reason, the English greyhound lads will know better than me. Was never in it but would like to have attended one day, wasn’t to be.

Tut tut Malay, i am very much a greyhound man as a number of my previous posts will confirm.

One of my best ever bets was picking Loyal Honcho to win the Derby prior to the first round @ 40/1. I thought he had been knocked out in his first heat as he trailed in 4th, luckily for me to make the numbers up that was sufficient to qualify. He then remained unbeaten for the rest of the Derby Grin

Sky stopping their coverage is one of the reasons i no longer subscribe to them, they used to do it very well.

My local track was Maidstone and i spent many a night there as a teenager and in my 20s before it was shut down Sad

I was attempting some humour with the Stella GREASY name, given the OP wanted the names of SLIMEball politicians !

Ah Dixie , those days ...Had plenty at Catford with Paddy/Irene but also a few at Maidstone with John Rouse (later Hove ) . We had a 33/1 Derby entry but went out in first round . Have collies these days but swam them at Ray Cross's for 10 years so kept in touch with the sport and have 25s Scooby and Ralf !
Report MALAY May 26, 2026 8:46 AM BST
I bet loyal Honcho too Dixie, College Causeway in Dublin was my most profitable ante post and I was probably fortunate because I was betting another hound at same time for same money, and they said and no I just said double the bet on CC and they took it and the rest is history, he had to run some race to pull McGhee dog
Report DixieDean60 May 26, 2026 3:20 PM BST
I used to love Maidstone on a Monday and Friday night paulo, back in the late 70s i used to go after school it was spit and sawdust but great fun and the characters were enthralling for a youngster like me to observe. Used to watch Maidstone playing football there as well, was like a second home for a while Grin

It obviously had the makeover in the early 80s and attracted a better class of dog, i must have been the only one who missed out on backing Whisper Wishes to win the Derby in 1984 Cry, the last Derby ever run at White city of course. Such a shame Maidstone shut, Rochester went the same way in the 70s as well( i could almost see that stadium from my school Happy). They sure were good times.  John "Curly" Wilson is the bookie i most remember from those days, still going now i believe Cool

I only went to Catford a couple of times but really liked it there , yet another one that has bitten the dust unfortunately, flats now i believe ?

good luck with Scooby and Ralf - both drawn in the same semi along with my last ante post pick Hackney Corner, lets hope for a 1-2-3 to get us to the final  Happy

Malay - Honcho was some dog, finished second in the Derby the year before which is why i thought he was overpriced at 40s , happy days.
You must have been rolling in it backing the Derby winner two years running with Causeway doing the business as well Happy

Ante post would have been my strong point back in the day Dixie, usually could dig one out.
Maybe I was just lucky, we all love to give ourselves a pat on the back when it comes up.
I had a big bet on Maldini ante post it’s first Irish derby but it just couldn’t get away from disguised, they cut each other’s throat and like a shot, who was a very good dog, came and done them.

Grease-Smug? Is he the guy who kicked the arses of all the workshy layabout civil servants who wanted to sit at home eating biscuits in their pyjamas? What a legend.

You have to give Jake credit for turning up for work, but not for taking a nap on the Front Bench when he got there.
He's much more of a slimeball than his public persona suggests.
Report Ronaldmcdonald May 27, 2026 7:08 PM BST
I don't blame him taking a nap he must have been knackered after working hard all day kicking arses.
