Carns has made his move with a 1000 word manifesto in the New Statesman. LFI would prefer Streeting but he's not popular with members, Carns will be their man unless Streeting can flip public opinion very quickly;
A steal at his current price. LFI are sharper than any other force in the Labour party. You think that's democracy you are breathing?
Interesting Cheese,you would shake your head with most of the rest but it looks to me his short time in politics could almost be an asset. I'm not sure there will be a challenge tomorrow despite media reports,Streeting will always have the mandy monkey on his back and that is off putting to too many. Good luck with him, an outside the box choice but not an improbable one.

Yeah that was my thinking. Not a dead cert by any means but I'm old enough to have seen a number of outsiders work magic over big names in similar situations. Only difference is that it was usually though not always tories.

With streeting not having 81 noms it probably increases carns chance of getting on ballot, but likely indicates strength of Burnham, who still needs to get into parliament, of course.
