They still run the country, they still have the enriched uranium and they are the new owners of the Strait of Hormuz charging a whacking £1m-a-boat toll.

What did Trump get?

It is a question of not if but when this is resumed.

Iran stopped in good faith but surely cannot look on with the brutal force in Lebanon.

The West Bank and Gaza too.

It seems deliberate to fail the ceasefire, sickening stuff.

Its only just over 1$ per barrel of oil on an average size vessel ,  which is drck all.

Maybe due in retaliation to a strike on Irans Lavan island oil refinery also after ceasefire was agreed? ^
(source wiki)
They did open the Straits as they said(seems to be shutting them again) but the savage brutality in Lebanon is actually getting ramped up.

at least on my feed my comment has been removed Lapsy (pretty weird censorship)...

but Iran does nothing in good faith, Trump's an idiot who got conned into the idea of regime change and failed and whatever claims are made didn't appreciate Iran's ability to hold the world to ransom..

I didn't see anything wrong with your comment and it was factually correct as is my reply.

I did think Iran understood the ceasefire applied to Lebanon which i did, it seems a backtrack now.

100+ bombs on Beirut today alone, it is criminal in any normal sense of humanity.

yep, realistically for any peace to hold you'd feel that had to apply to Israel/ Lebanon as well..

yes and no, they are being battered and would welcome rest bite...they aren't freedom fighters by any description..
they're a sponsored Iranian Militia and a lot of Lebanon wishes they had no place in the country..

Yes somewhat agree too, they probably shouldn't have got involved but did, it is like genocide 2 though,a complete over-reaction,they are basically ineffective.

They were under the impression it was a ceasefire, the question is why and who said what.

Netanyahu probably taking liberties while he thinks he can (and been given enough reason to of late, none of this creates any long term positives of course)

Thursday morning update;

The Ayatollahs still in power, still have the uranium and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to all but Chinese boats.

Other than that things going very well for Trump.

Staggering how many people (urged on by our rancid news media) are happy
for the Ayatollahs to continue, as long as it makes one man look bad.
Once he's gone they can get back to organising global terrorism,
and all the pathetic types can look the other way again.

Staggering also the looking the other way when right wing thugs are murdering Palestinian goat herders and taking their land off them aided and abetted by the 'state'.

Thing is, an air assault was never going to get rid of the regime. It's never worked before. It never will. If your aim is to get rid of them all, and your imagination only ventured as far as brute force, then it always required boots on the ground and an assault that would go on for many, many months.

It's not about wanting Trump to look bad. He simply made bad decisions from day one so can't help but look bad. A better president would have used the CIA to help stir up the nascent uprisings, maybe better supported their neighbours to help or at least be able ensure Iran don't control the region so much etc etc. He just listened to Bibi's nonsense and thought it'd be as easy as picking up Maduro. The man is a fool.

"Death to America, death to Israel".      Not exactly going to plan imo....

So the ceasefire talks in Pakistan ended without agreement but that's okay because last night Trump said a ceasefire agreement wasn't necessary as America won.

Meanwhile in the real world the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to all tankers 'cept Chinese ones and the Ayatollahs still have their enriched uranium.

USA will take over the security, do it cheaper than $1 a barrel.

Will be a nice earner, or could even double it to $2 and force the region to get it's own security organised.

Should also be taking as much oil from Iran as is needed to cover expenses.
By:
SirNorbertClarke

Very difficult to guarantee safe passage of tankers while Iran has a supply of drones and mines.

Even American warships have to tread very carefully in the strait of Hormuz

I'd tend to agree. The ayatollahs played their trump card to out-think and scupper Taco man and his partner in crime Netanyahu.
By:
impossible123

The drones could be launched in numbers and will probably hit any target that moves like a snail like the oil tankers.

Someone needs to call Dynorod.

Trump's just blocked the Stait of Hormuz.
By:

When: 12 Apr 26 17:36
Yeah, but... he complained the Iranians blocked it because he bombed them.he seems to be 'doubley' blocking it now?
Well and truly blocked indeed.
Dynorod,Nato, minesweepers badly needed to look on from afar.

Nice 1 dave,ya gowl.

The only things getting blocked will be the toilets on Trump's blockie boatie things when the sailor chappies are told to block the shipping lanes.
More body bags required.

All going to plan imo

USA insulated by it's own oil - ramp oil price, increase production, fill the gap to overseas buyers, make monies

Israel get to push the frontier out as per

Weaken further the economies that have been targeted by demand destruction the last 5 years - that's us, Japan etc

Higher inflation, higher borrowing rates, higher taxes - you gotta pick a pocket or two

Baby stepping the West and the bygone era towards sovereign default - it'll come

Oh yeah don't forget the hot mainline injection of displaced migrants on small boats to these shores

Keep that welfare system bleeding until it teeters over

When the monetary system has failed they tip the board and start over - new payment infrastructure - based on the old but with shiny new tokens but you won't have full autonomy this time

Perfick

Are the Ayatollahs still winning after Dave removed their only leverage by blockading the strait? TDS bros are disappearing back into the bush faster than Homer Simpson.
