A disgraceful incident, but just the one and it provokes documentaries on 2 main channels.
A shame they didn't both do one for each town that was actually ravaged by rape gangs.
1400 victims in Rotherham alone, how many in Barrow?

I'm pointing out to poker monster that casemoney has opened a thread on the same subject.

Had poker monster seen it I'm sure he would have commented there rather than open a new thread, and he likely will want to read that thread.

Meanwhile you are simply a thick troll, who continues to make a fool of the self.

Interesting blurb on the iPlayer link though

The true story of the young victims in the 2012 grooming and sex trafficking case in Rochdale.

hmmmm.

Maggie Oliver talked this week about how the CPS (when they eventually caved into the pressure to do something) downgraded the charges to 'trafficking' and not what it was organised groups committing child rape. Who was in charge of the cps in 2012 Confused

I don’t doubt the accuracy of the documentary, sir.

It is the decision to air a repeat now that I consider an appalling and offensive error of judgment.

Some on here might be old enough to remember the Larry King (Nebraska) and Marc Dutroux (Brussels) child abuse cases.

Victims and whistleblowers in both instances were disparaged as hoaxers by media, politicians and police from the outset… and still are to this day. For any unfamiliar with these scandals, I would encourage watching a few of the documentaries to be found online. In my view, truly wicked injustices remain unpunished.

Just to avoid confusion, it was not the same Larry King of chat show fame.

I’m not claiming the documentary was fake, Mr P.  It was a documentary about fake grooming.

Did BBC and Channel 4 screen the Pakistani grooming gangs in Rochdale, Telford, Leeds, Rotherdam, etc? I truly cannot remember.

People became angry about the Post office scandal because of a TV drama,
they could no longer resist tackling it. Such a drama about the rape gangs
and the cover up would provoke similar public anger, but I doubt anyone
would dare write or commission it.

Bbc did a venture into it in silent witness series

Kind of ahead of its time, quite a harrowing storyline

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01g9b84/silent-witness-series-15-12-and-then-i-fell-in-love-part-2

..

The Silent Witness episode “And Then I Fell in Love’, which was originally scheduled to be aired on 6th and 7th May but was postponed due to similarities with the Rochdale child sex grooming cases, was aired on BBC One on 19th and 20th August. The storyline of the episode involved a number of young girls being sexually groomed by Asian men.

At the time of the original programme schedule, the trial of the Asian men involved in the Rochdale grooming case was coming to an end at Liverpool Crown Court. The BBC made the late decision to postpone the episode at the time due to concerns that the programme would be “too sensitive’ at a time when the court was hearing how vulnerable girls as young as 13, including some under the care of social services, were given sweets, alcoholic drinks and drugs as a means of luring them into sex with Asian men. The BBC did not release a full statement at the time, simply stating that the change in schedule was for “editorial reasons’.

The Silent Witness episode consisting of two 60 minute showings at 9:00pm ultimately featured the discovery of a sinister underworld close to Heathrow Airport where teenage girls were groomed for sex and forced into prostitution. The men would buy clothes and jewellery for the girls, give them alcohol and drugs and then take them to a quiet location where the rapes would often be videoed. One girl was imprisoned in a room where different men would regularly come and have sex with her. The drama also illustrated how vulnerable the girls in this situation were and emphasised the profound psychological effects that the abuse had upon them with one girl committing suicide due to the ordeal.

The BBC programme bore a startling resemblance to the Rochdale child abuse ring. At the trial the jury returned with guilty verdicts on nine men aged between 24 and 59 for offences including rape, child sex trafficking and exploitation. The Rochdale case, which involved Asian defendants and white victims, had initially sparked protests by far-right groups; but police had insisted that the case was not racially motivated. This was a very similar situation to the Silent Witness episode which portrayed a number of Asian men who worked at a Taxi firm, using Facebook and modern technology to groom young white girls.

I hope a brave producer could take this on board with crowd funding (if necessary) to make a documentary about these heinous and despicable racist sexual abusers and rapists against vulnerable young white females solely from the Pakistani minicab community.

I think prudent and painful questions must be asked eg:-

1) why the perpetrators were solely from the Pakistani minicab community?
2) why and how it was ever allowed to happen for over 2 decades with little or nothing positive
   and victim-friendly?
3) why those in high offices eg local MPs/councillors/leaders, police forces and the social
services concerned did little to try and stop or prevent these vile behaviours of the
   Pakistani minicab drivers?
4) whether the political support of the local and national Pakistani community preceded law and order?

A targeted and racist behaviour of this nature by the Pakistani minicab community can never be good for social harmony and cohesion.

This horrid debacle is way broader than minicab drivers...............shopkeepers restaurateurs and the prevalence of relatives and scale of community involvement is really quite sickening ,all covered up as to sensitive to reveal.
The chief offenders of trying to silence the truth ,was the darling of the left and on here Diane Abbott with help from khan + lammy.
