it wasn't lost or misplaced. i was mugged for my phone, and I knew the muggers got away with my phone.

I lost mine the other week on Buncrana beach, I was jogging with my dogs and it must have fell out my pocket, didn't realise, about 4 hours later my wife got a phone call from my mum somebody have found it, seen mum and dialled it, and they left it in Buncrana Gardai station, it's not the device, basically worthless, its inconvenience I was lucky.

No I didnt know I had lost it, missing for 4 hours but I hadn't look to use it. Some bird found it phoned my mum and she phoned my wife, and told her it was with Gardai.

There is no info on the mugging in public domain (a bad crime i'm sure she would be pretty shaken up) or how the cops were communicated, were they on the ground ?, did they chase the cant ? Did they get the vile individual ? I'd be more interested in that rather than a company phone.

Officers investigating Louise Haigh's "stolen" phone believed a photo she submitted of the handset had been taken after the alleged theft, Sky News has been told.

Two sources said after looking at metadata attached to the photo - information that often details when photos were captured - officers believed it had been taken after the date at which Ms Haigh alleged the phone had been stolen.
