After 14 years of Tory sleaze greed and corruption the cuts in the NHS and in mental health services mean that dangerous mentally ill people are in the community with inadequate treatment and support. So instead of whining on about your hatred of anyone not pure white like a bigot, why not protest that the government stops bunging our sosh to their chums and boosts NHS soeanding instead. |

COT HE WAS SECTIONED 4 TIMES , THE PROBLEM IS NOT WITH FUNDING ,WHY WAS HE RELEASED ? IN THIS INSTANCE THE MAN IS BLACK ,HE COULD HAVE BEEN WHITE ARE you sectioned yourself because there is clearly something amiss ,you post Nothing but Anti Tory and Anti White Bile on the Forum 3 innocent people lost their lives , very lucky it was only 3 He has been put into another Secure Facility . For how long one wonders, Till some headcase decides he should be released Again THE CHARGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MURDER AND A LIFE MEANING LIFE TERM Were the rope available I would fully support its use in this case and many others . |

Its time for an alternative, and that's Capital Punishment imo. Whisper it carefully, Schhhhhhhh, but they don't repeat offend after that. If anything, we should be having a grown up conversation about mental health and how this society helps those most in need. But it's been a long time since this place was able to have such a discussion sadly. |

Haven't read the verdict but manslaughter because of diminished responsibility is a thing isn't it? Roughly speaking, it's not murder because he wasn't compos mentis and didn't fully understand what he was doing.
As for his treatment, I read he'd begged the authorities to be sectioned just before this didn't he. Again though, you've illustrated my point of this not being the place for a grown up conversation about mental health in cases like this. |

How many other lunatics are out there walking the streets instead of being in protective custody, because a "mental health professional" decides skin colour trumps public safety. As we now know from the Inquiry, (see The Guardian report earlier in the thread) the judgement to keep him free came down purely to the colour of his skin. Medical knowledge and the safety of the public came a distant second in this decision, apparently taken by alleged "Mental Health Professionals" |
