I don't know enough about it lapsy, nor does anyone else on this thread. From what I can glean, there was a Hamas inspired, long term planned savage mass terrorist attack, crossing the border from Palestine into Israel, deliberately and only targeting defenceless civilians. More than 100 of the vulnerable were taken into Gaza as hostages. Reportedly, over 1000 of those vulnerable people, including kids at a convert were mercilessly gunned down or brutalised to death. This happened October 7.

All the 'experts' predicted a ruthless retaliation from the IDF, since Israel has to prove to the enemies that surround it that it will not tolerate such terrorist attacks. The aim, I believe is to eventually wipe out Hamas. I do not know if it is entirely justified, or will eventually be successful. But it is neither unsurprising or unexpected.

If you don't know anything about it maybe you should listen to the giggolo in spite of your earlier post.

If that is true, what I'm telling you is that you don't know whether that collateral damage is justified or not. You might think you do, but you don't. 'War' is fukking awful, and there are no winners. Least of all, innocent people caught up in the middle of it all. Sometimes, it is necessary and unavoidable to achieve a longer term aim. I cannot sit here and claim to know for sure whether it is justified, or whether the objectives will be reached. None of us can.
