Benny, strange how my first thought was to say
Pa,get well soon buddy. |

A lateral flow test two weeks after initial symptoms is very borderline to still detect covid as viral matter in the tested region (did you do nose?) is simply usually so low by that time. So with the majority of people it will, at most, be a very faint stripe.
Not all tests are equally equipped to be equally sensitive to all variants either. What would have worked better at that time would have been a PCR test, but even that would have turned back a fainting amount of viral matter. |
|
By:
It just shows the mentality of some people - mocking others who take a test to determine whether they have a cold or covid so they can determine better who they should be mixing with.

ovid is still responsible for a few thousand deaths a year.
YOU MEAN FLU |

By:
We used to get 40k a year dying from that ,in the uk, seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth ..

A new Variant of Flu combined with mass Hysteria ,A dangerous combination
You often heard people say they had Flu , They had not , if they had they would not be taking Lemsip and bravely heading to work to Give it to everyone else They would be laid out in Bed Half Dead HTH |

The biggest killer in the world is heart disease. That’s the one that should have us running scared.
But the take up for drugs with HD is at its maximum, and there's no variant of heart disease to make further money from. So there's little point in creating a panic over it. Flu is very different, find a new variant, produce a new vaccine and kerching! More money to be made. |

Wish the village idiots who believe in the substitute for flu scam, would just stay in their back bedrooms and leave the rest of us alone.
But they are all secretly praying for when the next scamdemic is announced, so they can get their cheap thrills wearing face nappies, queuing up for jib jabs, begging for lockdowns and then preaching to the majority on social media how great they all are. They will never just finally admit how much they have been conned.. Who knows wot all them jib jabs will do to them in the coming years. Good luck and fingers crossed all will be well. Let's hope so, I really do. |
|
By:
Why do you hope so?
|
|
By:
Aaaah - still going with "the vaccines gonna get ya ! "
How quaint. Doesn't address the point though Benny does it - Why would you mock somebody having a covid test if they feel sick ? |
|
By:
Edy, the lateral flow test was done on the inside of my nose following a youtube instruction video (2 weeks after first symptoms). By that time my nose was quite dry and the main symptoms were feeling hot, feverish, panic attacks with a burnt tongue and sore gums and some diarrhea & nausea. After 4 weeks these symptoms suddenly went and 6 days later I became dizzy and tired all the time, which is how I have been for 5 weeks now. So this could be Covid/long covid but there is no real way of knowing. At least the symptoms have been getting less severe during the last couple of days.

Anyone thinking that Covid 19 was just'Flu are in complete delusional denial.

Glad you are starting to feel better marksman.
As you say, could have been Covid but no real way of knowing, could be something totally different. I have had it once, was tired for about 2 months after, then basically full recovery. My positive lft lasted about 2 weeks. At the end it was just a really fine line. The unemployed male dropouts will obviously know exactly what your illness was marksman, fairly impressive stuff as they don’t even need to leave their parent’s house and visit you to make an 100% accurate diagnosis. |

The new sciencers probably saw the cushtie job Van Tam has got and thought they want a piece as well.
|

By:
Dr Whitty and Van Tam deserve everything good in their lives
They took on the burden and stress and responsibility -it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone |

I suspect anyone saying 'just' flu hasn't been laid up in bed with it.
|
|
By:
More people have died from flu than ever will from Covid
|
|
By:
I’ve had flu twice in my life .. you can’t get out of bed
|
|
By:
BUT . . The thing is with covid , we don’t know
It may have similarly debilitating effects , as with flu .. and kill you .. unlike flu |
|
By:
Flu doesn't kill people, are you sure?
|
|
By:
I never said that , flu does kill people
But Ive had flu and it didn’t kill me Covid ? Apart from collapsing at London airport the Christmas before covid offically was a thing in England - feb? Don’t think I have had covid .. no tests then . And only tested once since . no symptoms , negative So I don’t know - I do know that covid kills people |

I sometimes wonder when I was taking that flight , standing in the queque
and falling fainting feeling like flu . But not flu I know flu and this was different and screens being pulled around .. Christmas 2018 .. was it some other sickness not flu .. but covid . Had never heard of it |

Flu and Co vid very Similar , Spread rate of Co vid a lot Higher and was Strange how some Folks you would not Consider Vulnerable were badly affected by it and others were not .
Used to Work in Offices always had Some Hero W@nker with a head cold in Claiming flu ,with Lem sip , Half the office then catching Said Head Cold . |
|
By:
Something was going around before Covid officially hit lfc. I recall many people around me had a "really bad cold" or similar, but it was everywhere. Didn't get it myself, but I was soon awakened to the amount of people that were going down with it and have often wondered if it was Covid.
|
|
By:
Covid symptoms are nothing like cold symptoms.
If you think what you have might be a cold, then its not covid. |
|
By:
I was poorly Jan 2020 for six weeks, coughing blood in March. I was working for that time-struggling for breath on occasions- and on the last day I said I wouldn't have been able to turn in the next week. I suspect that was covid. I soon picked up after a couple of weeks rest.
|
|
By:
Can't comment Dr C, as I never had it, but I do recall a considerable amount people coming down with something. A lot more than usual. Maybe it was a cold, but most of them were pretty rough with it.
|
|
By:
Aspro/ Dr C this wasn’t a cold or even flu
It was different .. and may have been the early first version of Covid 19 ( in 2018) Of course now it may have become something else .. but we cannot get away from the facts of people dying in corridors in Italy’s and Spain’s hospitals and mass graves in Cuba etc … |
|
By:
Don't doubt you at all lfc. Something was doing the rounds that was a little out of the ordinary.
|
|
By:
I had that one in Feb 2020 and it was the dry cough that was really bad. I had no other symptoms but, sometimes, after coughing it was difficult to get air back in my lungs and the technique I used to do this was to breath in very slowly and not panic until my lungs were full, then gently exhale.
I didn't have a cold or covid or any illness again until June this year when I became ill again with something. |
|
By:
I've just got over covid. Whole household had it. How do I know? My wife was asked to take a test by her manager and tested positive and sent home.
My symptoms Very low energy Diarrhea Severe leg pain Dry Cough High temperature slept A LOT Low apeptite Food/Drink tasted weired balance affected/ vertigo when turning over in bed touch sensitive skin. Worst symptoms lasted about 4-5 days. We all isolated and took a test every day. Now test is clear. No-one in household is jabbed, but I prefer natural immunity anyway. Dont trust govermnet 'cos they seemed too 'pushy' with jabs when they came out, like a bad salesman |

I don;t remember seeing any "mass hysteria" during the Covid period. I did however see several instances of it in supermarkets during the HGV strikes of several years ago when bread counters, supposing they had been loaded that morning, emptied within half an hour of being stacked.
The aggression and almost murderous intent from women has to be seen to be believed in such circumstances. |
|
By:
No mass hysteria?
Laws that said you can’t go in to a football stadium in the open air unless you have a vaccine passport. |
|
By:
How is that "mass hysteria"?
You need to get one thing clear mate. Government is not carried out by the masses, it is implemented by the very few. Upon the masses. When you see mass hysteria you will know it all right. |
|
By:
Because the masses who wanted to go to outdoor entertainment were that **** scared they said this was a good thing that they didn’t have to sit next to healthy 20 year olds that hadn’t been vaccinated.
Do you want me to explain to you what ‘mass hysteria’ means? |
|
By:
I know what it means and sitting quietly at home isn;t it.
