The “so called” Islamic State “ is referred to like that because there is really no such thing and it tries to make that clear. Good reporting of course.

But the bigots trying to spot conspiracy theories in everything. They try and pretend that the bigoted biased quite warped views of race and religions are the norm, by congregating in certain threads then finding stories to help their odious “we hate black people” narrative and reinforcing each other’s dreadful attitudes as “normal” it’s a symptom of the internet. Not matter how vile your views are you can find others who share them.

This is not different. The fact that a murderer happened to be a Christian does not sit well with their permanent “we hate all Muslims” narrative. So what do the bigots do. Just deny the information because it conflicts with the permanent state of prejudice…”was he a Christian at all….?..?.”

My guess is that this thread or another will quickly be used to put up stories about crime committed by black people. It will be littered with vile adjectives again, like “beast” and “savage” and be a blatant attempt to spread racial indignation and racial hatred. Casemoney and alun2005 simply cannot help themselves. They get red necked and furious when any black face appears on the telly. Their whole raison  d’etre is hatred of black people and they see betfair as their means to spreading their bile racial hatred.

They will be along again soon with more “real life stories” that prove nothing other than the vile nature of their racist characters.

Shame betfair continues to allow the humiliation and shame of their black customers by allowing the bigots to just carry on waging their race hatred wars on their forum.

Islamic State is both a name for a fundamental group following Hadith’s and an ultimate goal.
As a place it’s a theocracy imposed on people against their will.
They could very well have called them Orthodox.

In reference to the ‘so called’ Christian, I think you will struggle to find anything in the New Testament that justifies such actions….you can’t say the same about Islam I’m afraid.

Not that either man made religion is anything more than superstition.
The point is there is a culture of apologetics going on, but only one way.
Report cryoftruth June 9, 2023 8:45 AM BST
And that of course is just rubbish and it’s clear you are just anti Muslim.
Report dustybin June 9, 2023 9:06 AM BST
Cry

The inference is not ‘erroneously labelled’ or ‘incorrect projected objectives’, when the bbc use ‘so called’ ahead of Islamic State, because neither of those can be affirmed.

When the bbc use so called they are attempting to suggest ‘so called Islamic’ state, as though those beliefs are nothing to do with Islam, which itself is incorrect. The followers of Islamic State are quoting scripture and apparent benign imams struggle to challenge them on the interpretations because they know they exist.

Just look at what has now happened when the inference is turned around and used quite legitimately before a religion that doesn’t have such scripture, the likes of you call it racist.

That’s the same error that tied the hands of the police who couldn’t police on merit where people were breaking the law in case they were seen to be anti Islamic.
These invented notions to apologise for ill fitting doctrines.
Report PorcupineorPineapple June 9, 2023 9:35 AM BST
There was an actual other piece on PM yesterday where they mention Islamic State without any so-called. It was to do with the bombing of a funeral in Afghanistan iirc. There's a link here with a notable absence of so called for your delectation: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-65842605

Anyhoo, the reason they did use that term was due to pressure from Parliament as they perceived a risk of it being given legitimacy without it (link: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/jun/29/bbc-to-review-use-of-islamic-s... ie, they were just calling it IS but Cameron stepped in and told them to add in so-called.

But that's by the by. I only came on here to laugh at the blerts who were getting semis on for some muslim-hating only to find out that it was a christian, at which point, rather than talk about that, they just try to let it slip off the bottom of the page. Always funny that. Not that it'll stop the usuals going on about muslims again. That's a cert. I mean, there's surely a lesson in there about prejudice and bias and cognitive dissonance but I reckon some people just feel more cosy in their ignorance.
Report sageform June 9, 2023 9:55 AM BST
Nobody has a definition of terrorism but it seems that France are very reluctant to use the term since the terrible events in Paris a few years back. This bloke seems to be upset that France won't give him asylum from his home country of Sweden who have given him asylum. Too many of these refugees have been told that they will have the same or better standard of living than the local population in the host country and resent it when they don't. In my book anyone who goes round stabbing or shooting at random is a terrorist.
Report PorcupineorPineapple June 9, 2023 10:01 AM BST
Is it confirmed that's the reason, refugee thing rejected? Last I saw was a report from about an hour ago saying motives were still unknown. The guy on PM was drawing lines between him being separated from his wife and child and him attacking other toddlers. But still don't think anything is confirmed one way or the other.

I don't really understand it. He was granted it in Sweden. Unless he's being terrorised there why does he need to apply elsewhere? Has he applied for asylum in France too? Is that confirmed?
Report dustybin June 9, 2023 10:12 AM BST

How is Islamic state not Islamic?
They say it’s not a state, but that was/ is their objective, to create one through oppression.

Apparently the ones who hold the original scripture sacred for its warts and all are mad….while the ones who simply say Muhammad ascended to heaven on a winged horse are quite sane.

I don't know about this specific case, but there is plenty of evidence of 'lawyers' using the tactic of 'asylum seekers' being persecuted because they are claiming to be 'Christian'. Hint, they aren't actually Christians.

The same as claiming to be gay (they aren't gay) or minors (mostly aren't).

The London Bridge murders happened at a conference for 'rehabilitated' offenders. Hint, they lie, and hide their true ideology.

My Dad got baptised, but only as my Mum wanted a church marriage, full white wedding etc. He lied his way through it until the wedding and then never saw the inside of a church again.

Sir David Amess: MP murder suspect held under Terrorism Act

Published

17 October 2021

The man arrested by police following the killing of the MP Sir David Amess has been named as Ali Harbi Ali.

The 25-year-old is being held under the Terrorism Act and officers have until Friday to question him.

Whitehall officials confirmed the man's name to the BBC, and said he was a British man of Somali heritage.

The BBC understands Mr Ali was referred to the counter-terrorist Prevent scheme some years ago, but was never a formal subject of interest to MI5.

It also understands that his father, Harbi Ali Kullane, who was previously an adviser to Somalia's prime minister, has been visited by police who have taken his phone for analysis.

Teaching people that there are the oppressed (non white) and oppressors (white). That the oppressors (white) are guilty by default. That the oppressed (not white) are innocent by default. That anything perceived to be bad that happens to the oppressed is due to them being not white, caused by the oppressors (whites).

So what we have here in the case that the OP is about, those who are steeped in critical race theory, after witnessing an animal hacking toddlers in a park and the identify of the offender can't be hidden, will reach for excuses as the perp is in the 'oppressed' group. Excuses for hacking toddlers in a public kids' playground are in short supply, the options are probably either 'mentally ill' or in this case 'Christian' (ie underlying white ideology).

In the linked chat, as PP is a 'believer', he cannot bring himself to admit what a blind man could see, that people can and do fake being a Christian in order to avoid deportation. It's the same sort of challenge as working out for yourself that thousands of people (mostly young men), who are safely on the borders of France having travelled thousands of miles to be safe, are then choosing to leap into a dingy and head into the open sea, aren't actually fleeing France to save their lives at a cost to them of thousands of euro. And are in fact taking that additional risk and expense as if they get halfway to the UK there is a fair chance that they will then get free healthcare, pocket money, dentistry, pizzas, three meals a day, wifi, and a £150 a night room in a nice hotel. And never be sent home.

You see, I don't think they are at that point of leaping into a dingy to cross the open sea, fleeing for their lives. I think it's a rational risk/benefit calculation on their part. I do not need to see it written down on a piece of paper, to know it is happening.

Oh, and for me it's not hard to conclude either that illegal immigrants are a cash cow for immigration lawyers. That funnily enough, the incentive is there for them to keep the cash cow going for as long as possible, never ending appeals etc. Collateral impacts and cost to the native population are a least of their concern.

That's a lot of defelctive text to just say "I don't actually have the knonwledge I pretended to have". My turn to answer now:

I believe, but certainly do not know as I do not conflate knowledge with very own not necessarily deeply factually based assumption and belief, it is possible that this person was not a "genuine, believing Christian". Though of course the bible is one heck of a hellaciously violent and obscene book, so it would not surprise me either if people have their own interpretation that justifies discrimination and plain violence.

I furthermore believe, but certainly do not know as I do not conflate knowledge with very own not necessarily deeply factually based assumption and belief, that it can and probably has happened that the mentioned participates tell migrants to game the system. The lawyers by far however being the least likely of mentioned perpetrators.

You know, these people travel in groups. They will largely prepare to an extend before even traveling. They have internet where they can read all of our musings on how to best cheat the system if one wants to do so. They are professionally trafficked. Yet they arrive without a clue, without a plan, without the slightest idea and it is apparently largely up to the nefarious lawyers who have to tell their clients "No no no no no no no no no no no no, what in the name of all things rainbows and unicorns is wrong with you? You are not Ali, a faithful Iranian Shia that is perfectly in line with the theocracy there. You are Peter, a faithful white male Christian from a western country like the USA. No, but that's not what happened.

You said lawyers are telling their clients to lie. You've just repeated it. You know it for a fact apparently. Therefore you must surely have evidence to support it. I'm once again calling bullsh1t and asking you to evidence up and not twist and run away again.

The suspect in a knife attack in which four toddlers and two pensioners were wounded in the southeastern French town of Annecy on Thursday has been placed in detention, the local prosecutor said on Saturday.

The suspect, a Syrian refugee born in 1991, is under formal investigation for attempted murder and resisting arrest with a weapon, the prosecutor said.

The injured are no longer in critical condition, Annecy Prosecutor Line Bonnet-Mathis told a news conference, adding that the four children were still in hospital.

The stabbing was the first violent attack targeting children since 2012, when gunman Mohamed Merah shot three Jewish children and one of their parents, and then three soldiers, in Toulouse in 2012.

The suspect has chosen not to speak while in police custody and when presented before judges, the prosecutor said.

He was examined by a psychiatrist who considered that he was fit to be held in custody.

Drug and alcohol tests were negative.

"Presently it is premature to assess his motivations," Bonnet-Mathis said, reiterating that there was no indication yet that terrorism was the assailant's motivation.

BFM television said the suspect was being held in solitary confinement at Aiton prison in the region of Savoie, some 80 km (49.71 miles) from Annecy.

The suspect was granted asylum in Sweden 10 years ago, having arrived from Turkey. The prosecutor said the man was believed to be married with a young child.

He entered France in October 2022, having travelled through Italy and Switzerland, she said, adding that he had no police record in France and was thought to be homeless.

His request for asylum in France was refused on the grounds that Sweden had already approved one.

Witnesses told investigators that they heard the suspect call out for "his wife, his daughter" and shouted "Jesus Christ", the prosecutor added.

On his arrest, police found a folding knife, two Christian faith images, a cross as well as cash and a Swedish drivers' licence.

Lawyers charging £10,000 to make fake asylum claims: Special investigation exposes staff at immigration law firms briefing clients on how to LIE to the authorities to win the right to stay in Britain

Legal advisers agreed to help a reporter posing as a migrant get refugee status.

Lawyers are charging thousands of pounds to submit false asylum and human rights claims for illegal immigrants.

Staff at solicitors’ firms readily agreed to help an undercover Mail reporter posing as an economic migrant get refugee status.

This was despite being told he had no legitimate reason to stay in the UK after arriving on a small boat.

VP Lingajothy asked for £10,000 to invent a horrific back story to use in the asylum application. This included claims of sexual torture, beatings, slave labour, false imprisonment and death threats that left him suicidal and compelled to flee to the UK.

The legal adviser promised he could get a doctor’s report to back up the story and produced anti-depressants to be given to the Home Office as ‘evidence’ of psychological trauma.
