Who do you think pays when wages are low?

The tax payer forced to top up the wages of any family relying on a minimum wage job.
The tax payer is subsidising all the businesses that pay minimum wage, paying the housing benefit, school meals, topping up the income with Universal credit etc. etc.

Raise the minimum wage to a level where the tax payer isn't paying  half the wages.

If a business can't utilise a worker to make enough money to pay the worker with out subsidies, then it ain't a benefit to the country, it's a drain on the country, and it ain't a viable business.

Basically millions of people manufactured off the unemployment numbers by deigning to work 2 days a week. So that could well be the two adults in a family working four days out of ten, and taxpayers supplementing their lifestyle, when they are both reported in the stats as working. Tax credits should be phased out.

What has Poland/Bulgaria done for the EU? What has Ukraine done to deserve non-admittance to EU but invasion by Putin Russia aided and abetted by EU? Why has the EU knowingly contributed hugely to the economic and military might of Putin Russia? Yet no one from the EU has been held to account for this catastrophe and miseries heaped upon the Ukrainians.

The EU is a cartel just like the Columbian clan. The only major differences being the EU are more open; accepted as legit; discreet with rewarding cronyism but just as sh1t eg Von de leyen and Macron - the two Putin stooges/cronies. I'd not be surprised if Macron ends up in Russia eventually; Von de leyen will probably disappear into obscurity with no recognisable positive policy/contribution post her reign.

I firmly believe when the present minnow members eg Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Rep, etc, are asked to "contribute" financially to the EU coffer in the future they'll initiate a divorce or renounce membership to the EU. These members are in the EU for financial gain, benefits and freedom of travel.

It's kind of funny that the person who was one of the first to be knocked out of the leadership contest is now PM.

Everyone and their cat knows that the Tory Party will never allow Liz Truss to fight a General Election.

So how are they going to get a new leader?
