Richard Hillman from Coronation Street was a classic

Nick Cotton was more pantomime villain than dangerous but still funny

Steve Owen during the Saskia run was quite good, manipulating and intimidating the teenage lad into going along with the hiding the body was a bit naughty Laugh and then letting him take the rap

But Hillman has to be the best deranged psychopath written in soaps

Watched dirty den vids online and never understood why he gets so much praise.

EastEnders did a spell where they had a prison set built so they could do in prison storylines?

I never got why they didnt keep the set because they were quite good, esp nasty nick and queenie Laugh

Soaps have gone way to far down the doom and gloom and drama route nowadays

HARRY GROUT Porridge  Was Comedy but a bit like a SoapHappy
Report SontaranStratagem December 24, 2021 2:05 AM GMT
Not just the villains but characters like Jack and Vera, Blanche, Mike Barlow, Grant Mitchell/Old Phil etc

All better actors played them, better writers

Sure there were some storylines and characters but the main stuff was good

Who can forget Porridge, always liked the movie best

One of the all-time immortal lines came from Gail in Corrie about Hillman.
"Norman Bates with a brief case"!  Laugh

Charlie Endell in Budgie.
Never really convinced as a Kray or Richardson type but had a great line or two, like,......
"Do you want to float down the Thames in a pair of concrete knickers Budgie".

Hillman was brilliant

I can just picture a psycho like that in real life thinking they could just confess and then carry on as normal

I always found it funny how he tried to excuse his actions because he wanted to break up two rebellious teenagers Laugh

He killed a new mother and tried to off an old biddy and frame it on a 16 year old lad because he wanted him gone Laugh

I run past pubs and it’s usually the women that are the gobbiest from experience

The men tend to show off in front of them

But young women are troublemakers if in a gang at a pub its them that cause and egg it on
Report A_T December 24, 2021 6:59 PM GMT
sorry my mistake - he raped Kathy (Wilmot-Brown?)

i recall little mo was raped by a random

If theres a pub full of rowdy men and women just leave, because you know theres gonna be trouble

And drunk women in skirts crouching p!ssing like a camel on the side of the road... Its enough to walk off from her ffs

A woman shouted something at me during summer outside a beer garden, i told her to pull her knickers back up which the blokes found funny cracked up laughing

But she didnt and threatened to set her husband on me ffs

“Smack him”

Women can be more aggressive than men and it’s usually caused through “banter” they start but cant take it back
Report SontaranStratagem December 24, 2021 7:08 PM GMT
