https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Scottish_independence_referendum#Currency

After the three main UK political parties ruled out a formal currency union, the Adam Smith Institute said that the economies of Panama, Ecuador and El Salvador "demonstrate that the informal use of another country's currency can foster a healthy financial system and economy".[162]

lfc1971 you continually show your smug, self-satisfied ignorance at almost every turn.  The Scottish parliament was ( and still is ) designed to very reduce the chance of any one party from gaining a majority.  Didn't you know that?  the election set up was designed to give a broad consensus across the house and to avoid dictatorial politics as per the rotten house of Westminster, where any fool can win a landslide.
The fact that the SNP got within two votes of that majority, after all the Whitehall and Westminster scheming and mud-slinging aimed squarely at the SNP over the last two years, is simply staggering!  The people have judged it to be what it was, a failed series of hatchet jobs, and have come down squarely in favour of Nicola and the SNP.
A simply staggering result for Scotland, which is why "Hides In Fridges" is holding out a poncing meeting to discuss the future.  labelled Covid it is actually about the future of the Union.  He is bricking it - plain and simple.

FAO all unionists, esp the habitual liar Akabula.

Combined constituency & list votes, Scottish election:

Independence (SNP, Green, Alba)
2,685,805

Union (Con, Lab, LD, Unity, Reform, Ukip)
2,657,698

So there IS a mandate by counting the popular vote. Do remember though, it WAS an election and not a referendum.
iirc Johnson and his corrupt mob of public purse pillagers, liars and spivs, many of whom went to the same school, only received around 43% of the popular vote in GE19, yet progressed Brexit as they wanted. The difference between Westminster and Holyrood is the voting system, which, yes you've guessed, was chosen by unionists in order to prevent any party gaining majority, but especially the SNP.

One recent poll reported that among 16-34 year olds, independence had SEVENTY-TWO PERCENT support.

INDEPENDENCE IS INEVITABLE.

Got to wonder if the not at all missed forum hate merchant Alias is an old SK alias he's dug out after being made to look such a tit all day.
Both got the same amount of "intellect" and "charm".

Alias is confused , less than 50% constituency votes for independence
That’s what counts you can only vote once in a referendum
No mandate
