if the torys still had Hammond as chancellor and still kept the purse strings tight, and labour had produced the current tory spending plans, torys, right wing media would still be running the same headlines just change the figure to a smaller amount, but they,d still be saying labour would be bankrupting the country but its ok for tory,s to spend it

The tories should simply have waited until labour announced their spending plans on the nhs etc  , and then added a few billion on top
If the leftists can play that game so can the tories , that’s clear now

Now let me tell you what should happen in a mature and rational manifesto and election
The parties should not be bragging about how much they are going to spend on the NHS
They should be setting out their plans on how to run the NHS and hopefully reduce costs in the NHS and everything else
This madness can’t really continue

Both parties spending plans have been rubbished by various financial instituitions. The public are quickly becoming aware that party manifestos aren't worth the paper they are written on.

I give very little credence to these expenditure soundbites. But, what scares me the most is the motley crew of The Labour Party will carry out theirs at the expense of the future generations. The country cannot afford these expenditure esp with Brexit looming.

I was talking to a Polish immigrant just the other day. I told him where I stood on Brexit, and he said I'd not blame you. He said Polish people are much better off with the money from The EU each year; free higher education for Polish students; an improved free health care system; etc.

The EU are good for Poland.

The Labour Party fantasy manifesto do not even worth consideration. And, I'd challenge their MPs for foregoing their annual remunerations and expenses for my vote if they are truly serious about managing the country and economy. I'm sorry, but even his former wife did not allow him to facilitate his political career at the expense of the education of one of their sons; rightly so too - the children are our future!

Whether the manifesto do not worth consideration or not is a mute point since it isn't out there yet...eh imposter123

Is this the 'future generations' that come out of education with 60k worth of debt..is that the generation you're worried about ?

The IMF: got it horribly wrong a decade ago after the crash but having finally eaten humble pie they have now come round to what Labour have been saying all along but don't let taht stop you posting sh!te imposter.

And another tale from imposter123's bottomless trough of 'man I met' anecdotes.

Btw, the irony of jucel and others saying how gullible (young) leftists are on a thread about fantasy figures from the tories being produced is some good stuff

Britain as a nation is no longer capable of generating real wealth , we are going to have to spend a lot less
It’s as simple as that , no wild imaginings can alter these fundamental facts
