Maybe Chris Grayling has been offered the job of running the Brexit department in government if May wins. I thought he was the least good of the Brexit cabinet ministers.

Worrying times for the Conservatives imo. If this bunch is the best they can muster, the future looks bleak.
If Labour can rustle up a semi credible candidate to replace Corbyn, this could be a great opportunity for them. |

I presume the " gayer " Sean Rua is referring to is Liam Fox.
The Smith he keeps referring to must be Ian Duncan Smith. Ian Duncan Smith has had his chance, won't run. Liam Fox will have little support. Its going to come down to a fight between a Brexiter and a Remainer. Boris tested the water, found he had no support among his fellow MPs. Michael Gove tested the waters also and found he had substantial support. Crabb is only trying to heighten his profile. A fight between Michael Gove and Theresa May ending sadly with a victory for May. |

Gove is completely unelectable. Less than no chance.

I don't Gov is liked by the membership and had to be removed as Education Secretary because of his unpopularity. I think he might be a marmite politician in and out of parliament. I think it will end up as May v Leadsom with May winning.
Won't put money on it, too many weird turns in the Politic markets, makes Wolverhampton all weather horse racing look simple! |

So, wilde, are ye like your beloved nige, already throwing in the towel about this brexit nonsense?
It ain't over yet, bruv. These devious bstrds have ruled for centuries; they no the score. So do I; I know they are good for nothing. Ye'll find out the hard way, it seems. ![]() t.may won't achieve much, imo. She is a dour fkr like ould thatcher. Immigration and emigration is on the rise as we speak. |

they know the score.

Sky have shown two clips of Michael Gove saying under no circumstances would he want to be Prime Minister. In one interview he said he would write it down on parchment in his own blood that he didn't want to be Prime Minister

Robert Burns "To a mouse"
Burns' original... Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie, Translated! Small, crafty, cowering, timid little beast, He must have had Gove in mind all those years ago. |

Insider trader - I've been saying for a month that this would be the result of a brexit as not one of them had any sort of a plan for the aftermath. To not even know what model of membership you want (or is even preferable) when this has been an issue for so many on the right for so long is scandalous. These people are running the country and have played the nation (esp brexiteers) for fools ffs and I will now sit back and watch this '2 for the price of 1' farce unfold and laugh with the rest of the world at the new Banana Republic of Great Britain. We will emerge from it but are we going be a vastly improved country from the one we would have been at the same point? Hmmmmmmmmm
Wildone (sic) - don't bother with you usual reply to me old bean , there's a good chap. |

Well done, spyke!
There's nothing worse than these turncoat "working men" siding with the rulers agin their own people. Your only weakness is that ye haven't seen through the useless nu-labor party yet. If ye really want a good new system. join us and work for TRUE SOCIALISM. 'tIS REVOLUTIONARY, but we see time and time again that reformism doesn't work. Whichever tory wins the PM job, they will achieve fk all but further increase their ( the tory and nu-lab MPs) huge pensions and perks. Then the fkrs have the gall to chat about democracy and taking control! Fk sake, Whitehall will be working overtime for at least five years to sort out this mess. Fkn bureaucrats! ![]() |

Spyker the thing is they are not running the country.
In fairness there is an element of chaos at the moment. They need to expedite the Tory leadership contest. Sean Rua also makes a fair point about the Bankers and Corporates not accepting this result, money men aren't concerned about democracy. My pipe dream is for Nigel Farage to hammer out a deal for ye. I know some of ye hate him but he's a genuine English patriot who has the welfare of its people as his prime concern. |

Hmmmmmmmmm Wildone (sic) - don't bother with you usual reply to me old bean , there's a good chap. .... The plan is a red line on immigration. An Australian style points system for all. This means we cannot do what Norway and the Swiss do. It has to be more like the Canada deal but it is actually a deal for the UK. All deals are different. This is with the EU. Then with NZ, Oz, India, Brazil, China, Canada etc we can also do good trade deals. I dont think you can of being watching the campaign. No one suggested OUT would be a deal that allowed from movement of people. With it looking like May could be taking over I feel DC should have stayed on and done the Job. If she can have Brexit department he could of as well. |

Only we can do this... appointing a staunch EU cheerleader as PM! How much can you water down a referendum result?

Gove and May are two good candidates, both of whom have upset some nice cosy public sector vested interests and hasn't been the usual catastrophic Home Secretary that generally goes hand in hand with the job.
I'd prefer Gove, but Mistress Teresa would be my second choice. |

I read on here 20 different views of what people want (some of which make perfect sense) and I don't think it's different amongst those that are going to decide the fate of this country. May's speech was good but still, go back and watch when she was questioned on immigration, she spluttered a bit and remember that she is the woman whose responsibility it has been to control immigration while it has risen so much - her answer? Stop exactly the people we need to encourage - young, fit well off (students) from coming here just to massage the figs!
Wild - Farrage ended any hope of any sort of role in anything much with that speech and i think even his people realise that now. The biggest donor (who has some explaining to do about how much was spent possibly) has said he should think about leaving now. |

Theresa May has plenty of courage and when she's elected you can be sure of one thing.....she will do what Mrs T bottled;that is sort out the police force.
Gove is my mp...he is too much like Keith Joseph;an excellent back room strategist but no chance of becoming prime minister Fox allegedly likes young men and there's something of the night about him...unelectable Crabb is looking for a big job in next government...will be first knocked out Leadsom the dark filly;hard to gauge her support but a very bright cookie...could see her becoming home secretary |

Thatcher again?
my arse is still sore from the last time we had a tory woman. |

May cant win with the membership, gove should step aside let Leadsom bt may with the members, who Leadsom is sterotypical.
