1) Brexit - Cameron and Osborne are gone before the July Meet at Newmarket. Leaving a truly swivel-eyed rogues-gallery of Right-Wing nutters with the reins of power. Also the end of the Monarchy in sight before The Queen's demise, as Scotland leads the break-up of the UK. Re Next PM market - it cannot now be Michael Gove who, as Rupert Murdoch's pathic, has offended the Queen.
2) Remain - George Osborne's main plank will be rising house-prices, and if he cannot guarantee a safe rise until 23rd June, he should not be Chancellor. If house-prices are rising intothe referendum, one would be 85% sure of Remain. If they are stalling or falling, 85% sure of Brexit.
3) The one politician who could still win either side is Theresa May.

I think Osbourne is disliked immensely and will not win a leadership contest. those guys need to be thinking about their jobs and how much money they can make while they have their jobs as MP's.
I think the Chump Factor might be enough for them to vote for Boris. Theresa May is emerging though. I am not a Tory to be fair so dont know what is going on with them.

Unfortunately Mrs May doesn't want to lead the party. 10 years ago yes she did,but have it on very good authority that's not now the case.

Unless Boris is a disaster leading the out campaign it is hard to see him not succeeding cameron. If he wins the referendum he will be the hero. If in wins then there are going to be a lot of disgruntled tories hard to see them electing somene who stole their dream of leading leaving boris in a strong position as a man who wanted out.
Right now osborne looks a busted flush but a week is a long time in politics.

Boris is not leading the OUT campaign, no one has had the official nod off the electoral commission yet and will not until April 15th. If GO get the funding Boris will just be popping up now and then, as VOTE LEAVE will not have the funds for mass campaigning.
I thought perhaps such a prominent intellectual like yourself burton might be at the forefront of such a demanding and gripping campaign.
I have already done 4 out of the last 5 Saturdays so far on behalf of GO/LEAVE.EU, thankfully we have this Easter free. I'm sure you will put as much effort and commitment in on behalf of the remain campaign when they actually get around to doing anything.

Many ultra-conservatives were saying Boris wasn't even an MP when I was on about him going to the top.
I may have read a recent post from ye wrong as it is unclear; 'twas on the thread about who is doing all the deleting.
Needless to say, both ye and krappen are all over it. Ye appear to say that ye have never deleted anyone and never had a post deleted.
However, I fully recall ye getting the hump and telling us al ye were jacking over some censorship or other.

If we vote to leave, then surely Boris will be favourite for the tory leadership. Currently leave is 7/4 and Boris next leader is 7/4

That is a contingency bet so even if taken wont be paid.

Don't see much in common between May and Merkel. I can't see Theresa inviting a million more migrants some how. Ms May might be competent but to my mind has zero charisma or popular appeal. If there is a Brexit vote, I would expect a total clear out of the senior tories on both sides of the debate.
They are both childless,this means they don't think about the next generation and tend to be selfish.

this sunday morning i will collect 1k leaflets from labourleave.org..and will post them in my area, i can say the majority of people who i know who are all labour voters will vote out!
In my circles the Tories are for out and the left for in. I am going to have no sympathetic friends at this rate.
Interesting splits but the Daily Telegraph online poll of readers who bother to vote (so not a balanced sample) shows 75% for leave. Also recently, a poll of expats in Spain who are eligible to vote showed the majority would not vote at all, but of those who will, there was a small majority for leave. The evidence is stacking up that despite all of the politician's rhetoric, the grass roots are for leaving.

This is a problem. The left as in Labour supporters just lead from where they are told.
I currently live in an area which can be called one of the Labour heartlands. Labour supporters here will be vehemently anti-EU but because the official line is 'in' they will vote in. This is in a constituency where Labour are losing votes hand over fist to UKIP.
Greens and SWP hold some sway with voters here, it;s all out. I suspect we'll get an in vote in the referendum in this area based on Labour voters following orders.

We need competition in SPORT; we need co-operation in clubs and general life.
All pulling the rope in concert. That's the way to do something useful in an efficient manner.
There is NO NEED for an opposing team on the other end.
All inherited empires eventually collapse. Nature has a natural limit. It is harmful for the same old nobility to stay in charge, after they've degenerated into wnkrs.
We only have to look at American politicians to see this clearly.

Mainly competing with myself these days Sean. How many winners can I find, how many species of birds have a seen (I am also a twitcher)etc. When I was doing a lot of athletics it was all about personal best times as well as winning a race. Challenging myself to get better is always what keeps me going. No great interest in what others are doing.

I like your attitude and agree with it.
I remember after my accident when I couldn't walk properly. the doctor said just try to walk from one drainpipe to the next and then rest.
Each small step was a personal achievement. I was the only person who thought so.
Now I can easily walk ten miles. Not as fast as before, but I'm still grateful.
