perhaps he will interview the Australian again

All I see is Hamas killing soldiers , and Israel killing civilians .
Maybe John Snow sees the same. |
|
By:
more handwringing apologists.
How on earth do you expect a targeted operation eliminating terrorist tunnels to distinguish between a hole in the ground and a child in a hospital? Collateral damage. Nothing to be seen here. Move along please ... |
|
By:
What are the tunnels for Gus?
|
|
By:
dunno.
Look it up. But I have to say that despite the infirmities of age, even I would be able to distinguish between a tunnel and a child. |
|
By:
Gus, would you be able to tell the difference between using concrete to build housing & using concrete to build a tunnel?
Could you tell the difference between an organisation selling drugs/ computers/books/ food & a organisation selling explosive rockets? |
|
By:
probably not.
Would I need to be able to in order to avoid murdering children? |
|
By:
Yes you would Gus, buying rockets instead of drugs, is bad news for children.
Firing rockets at towns is not going to win an NSPCC award for caring for children. Why don't you think you can tell the difference between buying a book and buying an explosive rocket? I would have thought an adult who does not have learning difficulties would be able to tell the difference. |
|
By:
well, if they told me they were buying rockets, or books then of course i'd have take their word for it.
i'd have no other way of telling, just as if they told me they didn't possess any nuclear warheads i'd have to take their word for it until someone proved the contrary. sadly, my investigative powers are somewhat limited, tho if i see the corpse of a child and a tank firing shells into the child's school or refuge, i do tend to jump to conclusions. |
|
By:
Gus you don't seem to have been first in the queue when brains were being handed out.
Are you really saying you don't know the difference between buying books and buying rockets???? You must get some strange looks when you pop into WH Smiths for some Tomahawk cruise missiles. Are you allowed out in public on your own? |
|
By:
how about an adult
who is batshiiit crazy, would he be able to tell the difference? how about some lunatic with nothing to do all day, would he be able to tell the difference? how about some lowlife that life broke in two like a dried up twig, would he be able to tell the difference? how about a cripple who's riveted to a chair all day long throwing his voice, would he be able to tell the difference? aaaah, so many questions always the same ONE answer wake up, gus you are a clever man, it's the same deranged man hiding behind the curtain |
|
By:
so, the logic, as i understand it is:
somoeone may be buying rockets when we expected them to be buying books, so let's kill some children. you're right, i can't be very bright. |
|
By:
Only an unrepentant bigot

The Palestinion people who have lost their limbs might find it offensive to be called that word.

By:
Gus we have established that logic is not your strong point.
Are you aware that people get hurt when you start firing rockets at your neighbours & building tunnels to attack your neighbours. Can you tell the difference between between a rocket and a book? What is wrong with you? |
|
By:
i understand the difference, it's the relevace that escapes me.
|
|
By:
seems we have a problem
|
|
By:
Yep Gus I can understand how the relevance may escape you.
It is pretty much cutting edge PhD Statistics, but those OxBridge boffins have identified a correlation between firing rockets at your neighbours & getting weapons fired back. |
|
By:
so what percentage of 1400 (and counting) people killed would you say have been firing rockets?
|
|
By:
is there spread betting on this?

It's not that big a deal or especially offensive in the grand scheme of things. I am not in the least ashamed to admit that my wife does indeed use a wheelchair and in Melly's words is a cripple and she herself describes her blue badge as her mong badge. You have to keep a sense of humour. Of course Melly doesn't have one. |

I'm finding his little love affair with gus quite touching though. It could develpp into one of the forums crowning moments. He hasn't quite managed to reel gus in yet but so far he's done everything but dangle his own maggot in the water. Will gus bite? The forum awaits with bated breath.

gus
What pcentage of those 1400 have stopped those who are firing rockets? Surely the good guys outweigh the bad guys heavily in Gaza If the good citizens of Gaza have a quiet word in Hamas' shell like I'm sure they wll all be sat round the pool sharing a cold one by sunset tomorrow. |
|
By:
there you go,gus
i smoked the broken man out for you it was a question of how long it would take, not if gus, i hope you realize that without you, me, and u/biscuits posting here all we'd have around the clock is the same voice bouncing off the walls -LITERALLY!! but i am not telling you anything you don't already know, am i gus? ![]() |

To answer your question I'm pretty sure you aren't gus Melly. When I was a boy we didn't have much money and a Saturday treat was when our mum brought home a bag of broken biscuits from the market. For some reason the thought of those biscuits reminds me of you. Not the warm fuzzy feeling of a loving family having a simple treat. Just the broken bit. Just thik what they could do if they put your brain back together and think of all the spare bits they'd have after they had swept up the crumbs.
|
|
By:
so, the idea is that if you don't prevent other people from doing what they consider appropriate, you are guilty by association and deserve to share in collective punishment?
there are international laws against that kind of rationalisation, and for good reasons which, hopefully, i don't need to rehearse here. |
|
By:
No. I'm very much against collective punishment gus. It's a very useful recruiting tool. I'm also against hiding guns and rockets amongst civilian populations, schools and hospitals knowing full well what will happen. I'd like to see the people of Palestine saying collectively that they disagree with such action
Would you agree that is barbaric of Hamas gus? |
|
By:
i'd say it's barbaric to kill people on the grounds that someone in their neighbourhood may or may not possess rockets.
would you agree Elastoplast? |
|
By:
Yes I would gus. One of the rules of being a good guy is you have to differentiate yourself from the bad guys and being immune or seeming to be immune to the suffering of innocents blurs the dividing line in my view. When I was a young slugger I used to get a warm feeling taking a bully down a peg or two. I once bullied and beat up someone without proper justification. I regret it to this day.

By:
On the substantive issue I fear that Snow has shown himself to be too wrapped up in the issue to report.
|
|
By:
i think it's high time
you start blaming your mum for bringing home broken biscuits instead of some decent food causing your brain to under develop from malnutrition because at this point your obsession with always defending the indefensible the rancid the appalling the criminal the inhuman while trivializing the death of hundreds of innocent children is nothing short of madness oh wait..... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
I think in the present situation where Israeli soldiers are in Gazza and have shown and are killing more civilians than the enemy Hammas do have some responsibility for the deaths of their people, many of which I would consider war crimes.
Hammas should be wearing uniforms and be willing to die in those uniforms in order to try and protect innocent civilians on their side. Its one thing using certain tactics to fight a guerrilla war against a much stronger equipped enemy but Hammas should see their main role as one of defending their people. Wearing uniforms would result in more Hammas casualties but lots less of their cibilians would die and that should be a price a Hammas soldier is willing to pay. |
|
By:
Jon Snow is one of the good guys. If the BBC want an emotional-pygmy who feels nothing when reporting on children getting their heads blown off, I'm sure some of you are suitable candidates.
|
|
By:
I had a very happy upbringing Melly. A much loved and loving family. Home cooked meals from scratch every night. Just enough discipline not to go off the rails but enough freedom to make and learn from our mistakes. The orphanage can't have been fun for you. I'll bet you still sleep with one eye open.

Snow needs to report the facts and allow us to make our own minds up about a complex issue rather than waving shrouds and having hissy fits. Death in conflict is terrible but I don't want a nightly on air break down of somebody who is too unprofessional to do his job properly. |
