Note to self: don't go to a gambling forum if you're looking for a serious discussion on social policy.

Its not just social policy to be fair dan, this is simply a place to rant and abuse, one or two take it quite seriously but they're up their own backsides.

More of Blackburn`s light hearted banter about sterilising young girls, but he seems to have decided it`s best to get them before they can tie their shoe laces.
Should this man really be aloud to walk past Pre schools and Primary Schools. |

And I repeat!
In 2001 Total Fertility Rates dropped to their lowest point ever. With the population aging & not enough kids being born to pay for the pensions of the future, Labour began to address the problem by opening up immigration to the new EU countries Poland etc and allowing them access immediately instead of deferring access as most other EU countries for seven years. That policy was successful & TFR have begun to recover, one reason being new immigrant communities have higher fertility rates & larger families. Now you bunch of thick idiots want to start bringing in policies to discourage child birth brilliant! Why not just shut all tax avoidance loopholes & make it illegal to avoid paying taxes? No! You lot just want to hammer the poor, & stop people having kids! But then I suppose in your cases 'Some mothers do 'ave 'em!' |

That's not what is being argued Northernlad5 - it's about whether the benefit and entitlement system should favour thickos over non-thickos. The incentive to breed should be equal. At the moment almost 2/3rds of parents get a welfare cheque from the government. Consider the couple, one full-time home-maker, the other works full-time earning £38k, with 2 children. They are willing to make sacrifices in terms of no take-aways, no meals out, no cinema, camping holidays rather than hotels etc because they love children and want a 3rd child - there is no tax allowance for the stay at home parent, they will get no means-tested benefits, they will need an extra room which they have to pay for themselves, and if the worker wants to work more hours there is 20% income tax, 12% employees NI, and 13.8% employers NI which is a form of income tax paid for by the worker. Consider the workless couple with 2 children - they want a 3rd child - the state will pay for the extra room needed, there will be child tax credits, healthy start vouchers, free school meals, and a concerned council key worker worried about the inequality they face. There will be other assistance too - free prescriptions for the parents for example. Many on here would just like the ratio of people who pay for children themselves to people raising them on welfare to be closer to 50:50. In our dreams. |

Very sad case of a working Tottenham lad going the wrong way! He's from Kent NL - the place is full of inbreds and weirdoes - especially the mining areas where he comes from, you get more genetic diversity in the Forest of Dean - 1.01 blackburn has a harelip/cleft palate, very probably both. |

Sorry Captain,
Didn't know he was from Kent - garden of England. Obviously one of those cabbage patch stooges Thatcher planted in the early eighties has come to fruition... by acquiring a chip shop in Tottenham. If only we could be like blackburn???? Why does he call himself blackburn? Confusing! |

Excellent post but you could have used £26,000 as an example as this is when they are out of tax credit entitlement. If one parent is working full time and one is a full time parent then they are likely to be struggling, yet seem to be doing all the right things. |
