As a Betafir player you have the choice of two networks to play on. The first is Ongame where as you have discovered their is almost no traffic, the other is I-poker, where there is some traffic but the site will either disconnect you, not allow you to log on, or be down for some other form of maintenance.

The ticket for the next level that you have can only be used on Ongame so switching to I-poker wont help you at all. Access to Ongame will cease altogether in June I believe, hopefully your 20 man STT will fill by then, but I wouldnt bank on it.

Essentially they have killed a poor network which was starting to get slightly better, and are moving players across to a network most people either dont like or wont use. I think the general intention was to kill the poker side of things off altogether, which judging by the threads on this forum, they have just about achieved.

Ongame was finished Chipfire long before this.

Bwin and Corals had just left and the software was something out of the 90,s

I-Poker are now the 3rd biggest network behind Stars and Party, Full Tilt are in 4th. Laddies and ?is it Corals? are to join the network soon which may push it into 2nd.

I said Ongame was a poor network, but for the STT player it had 3 things, bad players, traffic, and it was reasonably reliable. We also had a Leaderboard that sometimes functioned, as opposed to no Leaderboard at all.

You only have to read the top 20 or so threads on this page to see what people think about the Betfair I-poker experience. Its like they genuinely expect people to go through another 12 months of the hell they went through following the switch to Ongame all over again.

With my existing cake deal plus the switchover bonus I would have been on around 60% RB and I still wouldnt play on BF Ipoker-thats how bad it was when I tried it. I was getting completely disconnected around 50% of the time and last time I tried to open the lobby to register for one of the super duper Freeroll promos I couldnt even log on. Its almost as if they did no testing whatsoever of their platforms before they made the move.
