Betfair Poker is transitioning from Ongame to the massive iPoker Network. New Betfair Poker will be launched later this month with enhanced tournament options, more tables and more recreational players. "Our intention has always been to offer our customers a rewarding and varied poker experience,” said Betfair Director of Gaming Sam Hobcraft. “Launching New Betfair Poker on Playtech's platform will help us to continue to achieve this goal.” Interestingly Classic Betfair Poker will run alongside New Betfair Poker meaning Ongame fans will still have access to the old network for six months. iPoker is the largest network of online poker rooms in the world and it includes Titan Poker, Winner Poker, William Hill Poker, Everest Poker and Poker770. The iPoker Network recently split into two separate networks with a top-tier that purportedly has more recreational players. Betfair Poker will join Titan Poker, William Hill and Everest Poker in the top-tier of the network. Betfair, one of the biggest betting companies in the world, originally launched its poker offering as a skin on the CryptoLogic Network but moved to an independent platform in 2006. In 2010 Betfair moved to the Ongame Network.
What do you mean between skins? You can use your Betfair account on both iPoker and Ongame if you played Poker in the past. New players can only play on Betfair's iPoker client.
