Maybe you heard about this?

Betfair are moving, dont know whether it will be ipoker though, an announcment is going to be made October/November. I personally am not a big fan of Ipoker, however, if I still get to keep my 30% rb deal, then i wont mind.
By:
30% is nothing, I have over 50% on ipoker.
But ipoker is full of bots, really full. |
By:
Ipoker is hardly an improvement.
All the bookies are ending up there. |
By:
Apart from the bots it's riddled with bugs. They have even managed to fk up the new rush/zoom style poker by making every second hand 4 handed.
By:
I met with a few of the management team in Malta last week and asked about the rumoured iPoker move and they categorically denied it.

I thinks it is time to shed more light on the ipoker/ongame question here.
We will continue to offer our dotcom poker product through the Ongame platform but will be launching poker for the regulated markets of Spain and Italy with Playtech. Playtech’s offering allows us more flexibility of service as they are able to provide products ring fenced for different jurisdictions. Regards - Asko |

Now that ongame has been sold ( Amaya gaming group ) can you shed any light on what betfairs will be doing. Can you confirm that it looks like your droping ongame and going back to the old software !!

About a month or so back AGG ( Amaya ) and Betfair signed a three year deal for AGG to provide Betfairs arcade product. Now AGG snap up Ongame for loose change...smell a plot.
shed the light Betfair ! |
By:
I would take the old crypto software back in a flash.

wow it really is dead on here, looking at the 'latest posts' column. WHen did the bomb go off?
By:
Well thats Corals left Ongame and gone to Ipoker.

iPoker is awful but if skins like Hills, Betfair etc. move there they'll have to improve the product. Betfair will remain with Ongame as long as Bwin continues to offer the product on their site. But once Bwin moves to Party Poker there is no incentive for Betfair to remain with Ongame because there will be next to no volume which was the reason they gave up on their proprietary product to begin with.
By:
What are the chances of Betfair moving to Party Poker with Bwin?
By:
ye they might move to Party.
Zynga are opening up their poker on Party shortly. Also major new software getting unveiled for Party early 2013. |
By:
This poker room will be on life support soon. The poker boom has turned into a pop and with f tilt dealing up again and as you say above even more competion for the fish. The chance is Betfair will see a fair drop in the player base. As the move to Ongame was supposed to cure betfairs problems it seems they will be right back to the problems they failed to cure ( instead seems they only killed the community spirt the site once had..well done with that ). Is the poker more hassle than it is worth ?( about 8% into coffers )some clever strategies from the management are required so with the clowns that run this farce ..it is doomed.

the graphics + tournies on betfair WERE so good
![]() sky poker for me now--more lively |

It is now time to come clean BETFAIR and tell your customers what date you will shut your poker site down on.
Trust BETFAIR lol. |
By:
Traffic on poker is still higher than back in the days where betfair was not part of any poker network, so why would the "panic" now, if they operated nicely back then ?
I believe people are making too much fuzz about ongame. Priority of betfair poker is not to become the biggest poker room nor to offer poker as their main product, they only care about recreational players and not regulars who win at poker, this is not pokerstars guys. |
By:
Can you back up your statement about the traffic .. and if it was all ok back then why the move to ongame ? and i think you will find they only care about profit not players or customers ect.

Lets hope they don't end up on Ipoker. |

Sent betfair an E mail today about the ghost town which is Ongame.....
Their reply ( from the poker team )... " We do not have any details about our poker network on hand ". ![]() |

never mind" moving" not even working AGAIN. in a game , table freezes log out can't log in again , gets worse and worse.

Can BETFAIR confirm they are to shut down the poker in March !!
By:
The deafening silence confirms what most of us have suspected for some time, apart from running Live Events/Pish ups, BT Poker Management have no interest in poker. I remember them discussing BWIN leaving in 2011 at them Q and A things me and Thrappers went to, and there genuinely seemed no concern whatsoever about it, indeed many at BF seemed to think it a good thing as it would make BF a bigger player within Ongame.
They now have a situation where they are still tied to a crap network that their customers told them they didn't like, with traffic as crap as it was before they switched, and the worst Christmas Promotions I can ever remember in the time I've been playing. At least before the BWIN exit they could say they were using a Network with traffic. Now players are sat watching tumbleweed blow past while waiting for half an hour for an STT to fill. And still no exit strategy on the horizon. They just sit on their hands watching the customers drift off to other networks. Bizzarre. ![]() |

What about this then?
http://www.pokernews.com/news/2012/12/betfair-becomes-presenting-partner-of-2013-aussie-millions-14062.htm |
By:
and your point is !!
By:
Why would they throw "million of dollars" to sponsor one of the biggest poker event if they dont plan to offer poker anymore?
By:
Do you know what they paid? or is millions just a stab at it ?..end tax year.. funds left in poker budget ..no point wasting it on site..big pr splash..could have that.
By:
In the article it states quite clearly they are using the sponsorship to promote the betting exchange. Given the legal position over there I doubt they would be promoting online poker. Do Ongame even operate in Australia, I cant recall ever seeingan Australian player on any of their leaderboards ?
