Ban of US players.
Report Eeeyore May 23, 2012 12:21 AM BST
It's such a bizzarre ruling to ban US players what a bunch of killjoys who ever made that stupid ruling.I feel sorry for the Americans being banned. Why did they ban them?
Report GHADDAFFI. May 23, 2012 12:45 AM BST
because the USA claims to be democratic yet does not let its people chose which pokersite they can play on. Its a bit like the mafia. If they can't get a piece of the action they don't like it

Money laundering, perventing terrorism, or perhaps US knew that FT was **** and decided to do something about it.
Report JoKeR373 May 24, 2012 12:40 AM BST

Dont be so hard on american, many european countries are doing the same and many asian countries have banned online poker for years.

US of A is trying to fully legalise online poker, which is a good thing and I 100% support it, otherwise there would be a lot more poker sites like UB/AP and FTP.
Report JoKeR373 May 25, 2012 12:40 AM BST
AB / UB got caught because players relised something was up
nothing to do with us legislation or goverment intevention
it was players who discovered and went too the trouble of providing a lot of evedince
ft was just a bad run bussiness
and paying no us taxes
american goverment looking after its own interest as always
and want too maximise there profit
the new american laws might try too stop ppl from discovering the AB / UB inciadent
over govern they wont get the earopean players playing there us sites
Report bully666 May 25, 2012 10:20 AM BST
lol ft was never suppose to pay us taxes, they were illegal to offer games to us people, thats what brought them down. Same was with pokerstars, but pokerstars repayed US people, FT did not because they ran a ponzi scheme on that poker site.

AP/UB is also unable to refund players and it has nothing to do with their cheating scandal, money from players should be there, not used, like on FT.

And thats why it is bad that poker is not regulated. If poker would be regulated, player's funds would be kept on a segregated bank account and poker site owners would not be able to get that money and it would always be there to repay player back.

Personally i think poker is descending in popularity because it is boring if you don't win  and you can spend hours upon hours playing with no return no matter how good you are BECAUSE OF BAD VARIANCE.
Report age 21 May 26, 2012 1:38 PM BST
people who got lucky to win after awhile get 'unlucky' and run out of money
people who thought they were better than they are run out of money
people who play for fun get fed up running out of money
people who win lose money to the rake

Players seeing the blatant collusion rings and networks doing very little about it to stop it.

Maybe they should pay their security staff a decent enough wage that would tempt some poker players to look into the investigations either part time or full time.

Players who play thousands of hands a week are the perfect people to employ to spot these rings IMO.

It's not so easy to win now as there are less fish .
Report Bishy June 26, 2012 7:11 PM BST
Its only losing popularity on betfairs donk site.
Report singlecask June 27, 2012 1:09 AM BST
who enjoys getting ****ed over perhaps if betfiddle and ongame stop cheating the players then they might enjoy getting good hands that hold up again. Betfair are fast loosing any trust that customers had in them.(regardless what u say chip )players have to have trust on this site not much that left.Cheats never win you only have to look at betfair company returns to see that. Betfair won't look into even the simple matters never mind stopping cheats so will never win customers back only chase off what they have left.
Report chipfire227 June 27, 2012 7:20 PM BST

Lets be honest. Got to be the hardest way to make a living. What sought of an edge does Ivey have over Hansen?.So small you couldn't measure it.
Massive collusion and teaming.
Only one in a thousand can beat the game online.
My son was one of them. Won every year for seven years at a rate of about half the ****.That is good by poker standards.
Gave the game away bacause of bots. Many smaller sites put them on their own sites to increase revenue.
He said two years ago you could beat them. Now they are so sophisticated many pros can't beat them,.You simply don't know wether you are playing a bot or a real person.

America is a great country.
Sends it's 18 year olds off to fight other peoples wars  but won't let them have a drink in Vegas or play poker online unless they get a cut.The land of the free
