hi guys im looking to take up online poker and wanted to ask opinions on what are the best sites and if any of them are offering good incentives to join tia
yeah but reliability and ability to get into a game you just paid for must count for something.
I dunno if any of the other sites are any better or worse and betfair do refund you. but it is not great at the moment.

I can only play 888 or stars, as i play PLO, there is much more traffic. I cant play holdem at all, (useless at it)
i think holdem is 90% strategy 10% probability PLO is mostly probability.
Back to the topic best software imo is stars.
Easiest games imo are 888. PLO players at low/mid stakes on 888 will go to war with any 4 cards, they will marry hands like AA72 KK103 etc.If Theyre aces miss the flop, they wiill shove regardless.

If you play tournaments I'd avoid Microgaming like the plague. Poor software, few incentives and it seems every hand is an all-in fest. If you're looking to learn the game that site will hinder rather than help you.

I was curious and went to pokerscout.com. The highest rating of any poker site is partypoker at 4.8/10 and the lowest is a tie between iPoker and 888 Poker at 1.5/10.
But looking through each they all have the same complaints about bots, **** cards (i.e too many suckouts) etc. But I guess that's just the nature of the beast. I complain with the best of them about unrealistic outcomes but I also see those hands occur in live games too. But of course if it happens when the dealer is in front of you it's hard to complain that "the deck is ****." When it happens online it's easy to suggest the decks are juiced.
Anyways, the one thing it seems that sets the sites apart are the bonuses and customer service. It seems that's where Party beats all the others as the posters seem to really like the CS there. But with iPoker, 888 and Microgaming (all who were less than 2/10) the common complaints are that questions go unanswered and bonuses are often promised and then never given.
Pokerscout.com would be a good place to start ipl2012 as there are thousands of reviews for each site listing pros and cons.
As for ongame it had about 3.4/10 which is near the top believe it or not. I know whenever I get frustrated with BF poker I end up at a site like iPoker or Microgaming and end up coming back because for all its flaws, it's still one of the best out there in terms of bonuses and play. At least tournaments aren't an all-in fest.

Raising buttons on Ongame is better than PS cos you can raise the pot easier with the raise button feature.I.E Raise by half the pot etc.. .On stars you have to work it out for yourself which is not so

Play on here with whatever incentives. Stars offer as do most sites with reload options. Not seen any here. Not to reload but something for putting in.
Tournament fields really large on MTTs on stars (so much longer). But it is a skill game isn't it. Great to mix in 180/18
Like the MTTs here - just taken a while to get used to.
Party OK too. Kara keeps writing to me asking me to play more and note promotions. Betfair does too but promotional message not as good as Kara's. Betfair need better promotional messages.
