UL Nick. Bit of a shambles again, no idea why they have it down as a winner takes all tourney . If they cant get it sorted out for next week, we might as well knock it on the head.

UL Nick, I hated the winner takes all and totally cnanged my game.
Benefit of an added tourney should be to spread the added cash and encourage more to play. I too won't play this again unless the prize structure changes. |

Its amazing how they manage to c0ck things up so regularly. Its not rocket science to set up a simple MTT like this is it?

Probably explains lack of numbers.
Lasted longer than in GSOP $54 mini and the 5.50 3 min blind rebuy. Ran Aces into 67 in the 1900 rebuy as well just as stack sides were becoming interesting around the same time crashed out here. Shame that never held up either. Thanks for getting it going but can we try and get it right next week. Not knocking the winner who deserved it. |

With the midweek game a lot of people complained about the sports related prizes, so I specifically asked if we could have a poker related prize for this one. I suggested a league table with a Live package at the end of it, but they didn't want the hassle of running two leagues a week, and they also wanted to gauge how many would take part on a Sunday before committing a load of cash to it. This is understandable.
The suggestion they made is that it run as a normal MTT, but that each week the winner would get a $120 Betfair Live Satelitte Ticket. Obviously the aim is that eventually we will see some Forumites qualifying for decent live events via this route. If a sat ticket is given away every week, then I believe this will start to happen. Obviously last night the top 3 should have got a payout and the winner the added ticket. For some reason it became winner takes all and as has been said people adopted a completely different mindset. I know I certainly did. On a personal level I've done this BF Forum Rep "job" for about 9 months now and at this precise moment in time I feel about as cynical about the whole thing as I did at the start. For every step forward we take we seem to then be taking 2 steps backwards. The last Q and A Meeting was early December, and there doesnt appear to be another one happening anytime soon, though I did ask about it last month. Given all the outages, the inability to run a Leaderboard, the continuing ineptitude of the Helpdesk, or the ability to do any of the basics required to run a poker site, I suspect they aren't happy to get round a table and discuss things. ![]() |

whydont theyset it up as a normaltourney with normalpayout structure and manual add the ticket afterwards to the winner direct.
also feel the clock needs shortening a little, esp if we get more runners. personally i feel 4 hrs on a sunday night is to long for the recreational player. |
|
By:
I mentioned the clock to them last week and they agreed to shorten the blinds from 15 mins to 12 mins. I think Thrappers felt reducing it further would turn it into a shovefest, however I'm not so sure because unlike some games where the blinds go 10/20, 15/30,25/50, 50/100, 75/150 etc, these are going up in much smaller increments. If we ever got to the stage where 50-60 people were playing it could be a long night.
HF did suggest perhaps staring an hour earlier at 7 to ensure people who have to be up for work on a Monday morning aint inconvenienced, which I though was a reasonable suggestion. |

The previous three posts all make a lot of sense to me - and chipfire, you are doing a fine job in the face of adversity in my opinion. Keep plugging away, you cant make things any worse and can only have a positve effect to our benefit.
The buy in, structure are all fine and once they get the added prize sorted you should see how many we get as a regular number. |

4 hours is fine. Though if more runners with same structure but paying 3 places may have taken longer.
It would have taken longer if I'd still been playing GSOP or the rebuys and $22 2015 MTTs that I normally play. And i'd also busted out of APAT on stars (and the sunday storm - 1 hour earlier because of ET change). 12 mins fine. But yes if 50+ it could be a lot longer. Those old BF rebuys with 21/25 runners and 15 minute blinds would take 4 and a half/5 hours to win. And even then I'd not normally have 10,000 chips after an hour of play. I really felt sorry for whoever finished 3rd. I cannot recall playing before. Early on 3 handed he expected to cash or even win outright and I thought no chance at all. When he busted he was obviously peeved. Chat stopped at 4 handed. And agree with aj chip. Keep up good work. We got 12 minute blinds as requested. Just need to get the prizes plus added sorted for sunday. Hopefully BF will sort out. See you all on wednesday anyway. hope to get in on time but will be multi-tabling - watching chelsea as well. just hope i can miss the obvious congestion at fulham broadway on the district line. TfL to mess up. steal my blinds if i do not get home for 8. |

Famous last words but I think we have sorted out this mess.
12 minute blinds -we can change this if numbers get bigger $120 tourney ticket added - rather than guaranteed 8 pm start - we can change this to 7pm if numbers grows Apologies once again. |
