it's 1 in 595 of getting quads by the river .
3 players is obviously 3 times more likey, lets say 1 in 200 in one hour with just 3 players you could see 100 hands per hour ? so there was half a chance you would see them quads once . thats one in 2 and four times less likely than that to see them 4 times. (is that one in 8 ?) so to clarify: in 2 hours the odds are 3v3ns once so half of evens is 2/1 and 4 x 2/1 is probably 8/1 and odds are weird so take one off for luck, so i guess 7 to 1 ![]() |

I will have another go....
probability of occuring four times in an hour on a 50:50 chance bet, which is 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/16. 15/1 50/50 is a coinflip. when you have something occuring once every 2 hours then that will occur half every 1 hour... if thats fifty fifty then i revise my answer to 15/1 but that probably assumes too many starting hamds going to the river.. assuming its a result of people playing pocket pairs. its 16/1 for you to get a pocket pair and same for your oppos so call it 6/1 any one of you holds a pocket pair. that s one time in seven (14 times in one hour here) the probability of FLOPPING quads with a pocket pair is 1 in 408. the probability of hitting quads by the river with a pocket pair is 1 in 122. 122/14 is 8.7 once every 9 hours ,is that 1/8 ? 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8 which is apparently 1 in 4096 |
