The flat call on the flop is fine imo, but when the turn comes, the board is draw heavy and you have to shove here. I dont know why your flatting especially when you've got 2 players coming along for the ride

Jeez sorry fellas, I HAVEN'T  GOT AJ , I'm well capable of folding AJ, to be honest I fold AJ pre flop from the small blind 100 times out of 100 in that spot.

THE OPPO IS THE ONE WITH AJ. I posted it straight after the game, before dashing off to do some voluntary work, but it struck me at the time he could really have got away from that hand a lot cheaper. I put him on AA after the flop bet, but sussed he had AJ, after the turn.

The other guy Im assuming had a horrendously played flush draw.

SHOWDOWN
chipfire227 shows [ 5S,5H ]
padon4 mucks cards [ JS,AH ]
chipfire227 wins 3,370.

From what's been said, sounds like he played the hand better than I initially thought.

If you fold AJ pre flop then fine, but how many ppl are gonna fold AJ post flop, turn and river? Not many at all. I mean the flop is beautiful, turn is fine, its only the river what can slow the action but by that point hes commited anyway, he's just unlucky to come up against a flopped FH. Just a question Chip, would you have folded if the river was an Ace?, and be totally honest Laugh

I certainly wouldn't have shoved if the river had come as an ace, I would have checked, and prayed he did likewise.

If he shoves the river after my check then it's costing me 680 to call into a pot of 2690. Getting 4/1 for my money its almost impossible for me to fold as he only has to have a hand like KJ, KQ suited, or a busted draw, once every 4 hands for it to be ev+ calling.

On the turn he bets 425 into a pot of 615, which at the time I thought was wrong, but it actually isnt as bad as I thought. If I call his turn bet obviously the flush draw is priced in too. The only drawback is that if the flush draw completes on the river, you have to wonder if, like you say, he is pot committed.

If he is pot committed, then surely he should have bet more on the turn ?

If he bets more on the turn, theres the possibility of you folding a drawing hand and he will ultimately lose a lot of value so to me, his bet of nearly 3/4 the pot was spot on.

Yeah agree against one opponent, just wondering if you should bet more there against 2 opponents ?
