Urgh, just been kicked out mid-way through a cash had. Just thrown in a $2 bet and have spend $5.50 for a tourney starting at 10.30. Will I be refunded if the site isn't up by then?

why is there no hot failover or even a cold standby? Failing that how long can it take to restart the servers?
All games will continue when it comes back on.....imo.

Found this Firstly, it’s important to note we will always endeavour to refund a tournament as fairly as possible. We understand that not all refund policies are fair for all players. To facilitate the fairest possible refund we have developed a new system that puts the refunds at the hands of our 24/7 operation. Below are the three algorithms we have to date, each of these can be selected on any tournament and previewed for the fairest refund possible.
1) The buy-in will be refunded back to all players. If a player bought in with a ticket then they will get their ticket back, if they brought in with cash then they will get their cash back. If a player made a Re-buy then their Re-buy funds will be refunded as well. The refund ‘pool’ is the actual tournament prize pool. Any guaranteed cash, added cash or guaranteed tickets are not covered in this refund; only the direct buy-in will be refunded.
2) Fee returned to the remaining players. 50% of the prize pool will be equally distributed to all remaining players. The other 50% of prize pool will be distributed to the remaining players according to their chip stack in comparison with the tournaments total chip pool.
3) If players are in the money then a different refund rule could be used. Fee returned to all remaining players. All the remaining players will get the next positional prize from the payout structure. Then 50% of the remaining prize pool will be equally distributed to all the remaining players. The other 50% of remaining prize pool will be distributed to the remaining players according to their chip stack in comparison with the tournaments total chip pool.

obviously no one will get their funds back till the network's back up. . . if it aint working to play cant be working to refund. . and then i've known it take up to 24 hours to work out refunds... but basically , any cash game funds will be refunded, any funds in middle of hands are more tricky, but i guess if its not a completed hand, you receive whatever you put in back, and any tourneys are normally just split between the remaining players equally. which obviously is the worse bit as 1st will only get same as say 150th..but guess thats the only fair way, as who's to say the 150th wouldnt have won.

255 people paid 54 dollors each in the game iwas in, there were 27 of us left in after nearly 4 hours.i HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE MONEY WILL BE PAID UT AS PER POSITION WE WERE IN AT TIME OF CRASH AS ALL PEOPLE WERE UNALE TO PLAY.

So we can turn off our PCs and tomorrow we will have a Tourney Refund after this method :

But I wonder if Betfair works again in 1-2 hours and just let the tourneys resume. But I guess not...
