But the nice approach has not worked, Ovalman.

We have been saying for years how bad betfair poker is, but no one has taken a blind bit of notice.  We have given 'constuctive' criticism for years and it has not worked.  Maybe because there are several on here who do not want to rock the boat because they have been invited to betfair's freebies.  If you take all them out of this forum you would be left with those like me who despair at how bad, really bad they are at managing anything.

The good news is that the password works but sometimes even if you type it correctly it still says wrong password.

My advice is always to make sure you backspace to the start of the box rather than as sometimes cursor actually is in the second character space when you start.

Jesus wept ! How is trying to get the password fixed for you "going soft" all of a sudden ? You moan when its not changed every week, you moan when someoneelse cant log in, then you moan when it's fixed within an hour. You moan because a bloke whose job is in PR is in a nightclub welcoming poker players.

You moan constantly about how crap this site is, yet you still play on it.

I've never had a betfair freebie in my life and to be blunt, if thats your way of saying thanks for trying to sort something, then next time I wont fking bother.

Annie,

You should have come to the forum game in Nottingham, you could have met Matt there who I know impressed quite a few people there with his passion for making the poker site better.

There was plenty of room to park your articulated lorry! [;)]

You have got a lot wrong, chipfire.

I did not moan about changing the password each week, I did not moan about someone else not being able to log in, I did not moan about it being fixed in an hour, and I did not moan about him being in a nightclub..  Get your facts right.

What I did moan about was why when they changed the password they did not immediately think of changing the announcement.  It is common sense, no?  Mistakes like this are being made all the time, but nothing is done about it.  And why should a forumite have to tell betfair that they have got it wrong for the umpteenth time, should not they notice it?

I know you hopefully made the lorry joke in jest, Helmuthian Folds, but I do not appreciate it.  I have spent years denying I am a man and just one remark like that puts doubt in poster's minds.

annie i have met bf staff once and this was because a friend won a ticket too a live event and invited me and i get vry drunk and wouldnt know what planet i was on never mind the staff

as for freebies i get the same as u promotions and added value game etc.

if u have a geniune grip this is the place too vent it

as for assuming the staff are monkeys a bit harsh when u urself do not like any sort of implied allegations.

lol

and as for rocking the boat doesnt bother me if i have a real problem

and for defending betfair i just think when an issue gets resolved a thank u and move on is just manners nothing more.

The point, Joker, was that if the wrong password was just a one off mistake then, of course, a thank you and move on would be the correct response.  However, betfair takes mistakes to a new art form, constantly getting things wrong, so in this instance it would not be the correct response.

By:

When: 15 Aug 11 23:02
Should be up by now Sad but it's in the opening post of this thread. It's a $5 + $1 rebuy for the first hour which leads to some good fun. Usually around $750 total prize money and 50 runners which pays top 10.

FYI password are changed on Tuesady at midday UK Time.

This weeks password is Donkey (capital "D")

Good luck

People on here wanted the password changing every week. That was relayed to PR, who then had to send off a request with a list of passwords for upcoming games. Someone at the other end put in next weeks password instead of this weeks.

Which makes it a clerical error. As has been said it's free money and the bloke is doing his best to make it into the tournament people want.

And for the record I haven't met him, and I suspect, like me, he doesn't play it.

Except last week when I could change it on a whim. (Gnasher)[;)][;)]

A tangled web one does weave etc,

You are going to BF towers 'seething and incadescent with rage'[>o] (stolen from the yellow bird) but tail, dog and wag seems to be the way already.
Leave that to HF and you stick to your guns. Annie and lots of others have faith in the power of the chip.

I am not quite sure what you meant by this remark, charlyfarly, but to set the record straight I did not vote for chipfire  or HF to be our representative.

Annie - in the nicest possible way - Leave!
I watched Betfair make mistake stacked upon error stacked upon c0ck-up for years and only stayed because the crumbling site offered the softest games on the net, frequented by the congenitally clueless.
Even as rampant cheating was allowed to go unchecked by the poker department, ( I don't think anyone there played poker), it was still a doddle to make money. However, the sequence of error - apology - error - apology finally got to me and I left. Then, I found a whole new and pleasant world out there. Hard to believe if Betfair is your only contact with the outside world but there are sites out there who care about customers, who do what they say they are going to do and who do everything they can to stamp out collusion and verbal abuse in the chatbox.
I urge you to give it a try.
Happy

Incidentally, apologists are a basic requirement.
At least they are for an organisation that have to constantly make apologies. Betfair clearly understood this as they moved to get a couple of characters onside.

Thanks, Pandorica  Happy

One of the reasons I still play on here is because I bet on the sports side.  I also have not found my poker game of choice, still experimenting with mtts, stts, cash, no limit, fixed limit, pot limit, omaha etc.  When I have found the one I am least bad at I will be off like a shot as I can then generate a newcomer bonus elsewhere.

I think betfair should abandon ongame, there is too much wrong with it.  They should go with another skin or maybe purchase full tilt software.  There is also the problem of the non existent and just plain wrong customer service.  I have just started playing mtts and asked them about rebuys.  I have found that the reples they gave me were just wrong - how can that be?

I do play on will hill, so I do know what a site should be like.

charly I can only tell you what I was told myself.

I never play the thing, so to be honest I'm not boshed one way or the other whether the password gets changed every week or not. Nice to see JT playing it though. I assume he went very deep last week with his superior skills ? [;)]

Not too sure what United have to do with this subject. Wrong forum.
And the use of both capital letters and quotation marks doesn't help the cause either.
