To flop quads and the other guy miss is the worst beat possible after the flop
Only two cards in the deck and have to hit them runner runner
I have seen loads of quads over quadsBUTTo flop quads and the other guy miss is the worst beat possible after the flopOnly two cards in the deck and have to hit them runner runner
No biggest bad beat by far and away was at Ongame. I've mentioned it before but I remember it well because it was so ludicrous.
I had AA as chip leader and some guy raises 2x blind I call. Flop is A-3-9 rainbow. Guy goes all in, I call. He shows 2-8?? The percentage shows me as 100%. Turn is a 4 all of a sudden my 100% drops to 95%, river is a 5. He hit the only possible runner-runner combination that could win it for him with absolute junk.
You'll never find a worse bad beat than that. Although hands like that (not as ridiculous but close) happen at ongame frequently, especially in sit n gos.

That is not even close to being a bad beat compared to the example I put up.
Any 4 and any 5 is not the same as ONLY 2 cards needed runner runner, it is statistically the worst beat possible after the flop, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a wrose beat afteer the flop
Same as someone having 6 7 hearts an flop comes 8 9 10 hearts and you hold AK hearts only J or Q hearts together can save you and you have to catch em runner runner.
Sorry mate, a bad it is but miles behind

I was in a game a few weeks back and my opponent was shovelling in the money, I was on the nut flush draw. When the river came a flush it was only then that I realised it was a royal flush, I think the first one I have had. Of course I raised him for every dime and he called, he had the highest full house possible. Oh, what a shame

Just repeating what the program showed. I'm assuming since he only had 16 outs after the flop and there were 2,070 possible combinations still available it simply showed 100% since the true percentage was 99.52%
Zippie assuming there were 6 left at the table by my calculation you were a 99.9% favourite. I think you had a better chance of being struck by lightening. The truth is if it happened at congame or some other site you'd be crying blue murder. Because it happened live you can only accept it.

Do you think it makes a difference how many players were at the table?

On Skypoker...I had 77 flop 7-6-3...3 of us ended up all in on the flop...1 had 66...1 had 6-3...I thought great I can't lose!! But did :(
Omaha cash once..flop 444..I had the 4...lost to running queens :(

Of course it does. If there were 6 at the table and 2 cards were dealt to each plyer and 3 community cards turned up then 15 cards were removed from the deck. Obviously if someone else was dealt a K the percentage of losing was 0, but we're talking about the percentage of hitting KK assuming there was no other K dealt. with 15 cards removed there were a total of 1,332 combinations available (37x36) and only 1 of hitting KK. So the odds were 1/1,332 *100 or 0.075%. Naturally if there were fewer players at the table the percentage went down and if there were more the percentage went up assuming no one else was dealt a K.
As for my hand there were 4 left at the table. I know my 2 cards didn't have 45 nor did the guy against me nor did the community cards. So there were a grand total of 45x44 hands available for those last 2 cards (no idea what anyone else had) or 1,980 hands. There were only 16 combinations of cards that could give a 4-5 eg. 4S-5S, 4C-5H etc. So the odds of hitting the 4-5 (his only out) was 16/1,980x100 or 0.8%. So I guess it should have actually shown 99% instead of 100% - but the computer did indeed show 100% so it must have been a glitch.
Once the 4 came on the turn he had 4 outs out of 44 hands to hit the 5 so it should have been 91%. Again I don't know why it showed 95% but I seem to recall seeing that.
Of course I could be off on my math :).

Of course the computer knows what hands it dealt to other players so I'm assuming at least one 4 or 5 was dealt out in the 2 cards which is why it showed 100%? Only possible explanation.

I gave the answer...And yes your math is off ... Did you study probability? [;)]

harter You have wasted your time with your calculations, they are flawed and wrong. It doesn't matter if you are hu or eight people have folded, mucked cards do not count when working out percentages you have to assume the mucked cards are still in the deck.

Strangely I've never encountered a monster bad beat and I've played probably millions of hands. Either I'm special or a tight arse that would probably fold quads if I felt I was behind

Some of these are really funny The pocket jacks that hit a full house on the flop with jack three three, only to lose to quad threes with ace kicker is phuckin hilarious

charly - The quad 3's all came on the board (ie both players had it!) so the best 5 card hand is obviously the 3's plus one other, in this case the ace beats the jack, ergo quad 3's with an ace kicker I think that's right [smiley:crazy]

Remember years ago playing in the Carribean Poker Classic & we were on the bubble which was about 9k. Table captain raises all in v blinds and the big blind stands up & starts shouting (highly strung oriental chap). Dealer offered to do chip count as both big stacks and he screams 'Fck the chip count, I call' and slams his AA down on the table. Other fella had J10 and cvrd him by about 2 blinds. Of course J10 - hits perfect runner runner turn & river for str8
Poor chap with AA started shedding a few tears, swore, and stormed off!! Everyone was relieved @ the table we had cashed but tried to suppress our giggles as the whole scene was like a Hollywood film of rancid luck!
Ouch that is a bad beat Zippie!Remember years ago playing in the Carribean Poker Classic & we were on the bubble which was about 9k. Table captain raises all in v blinds and the big blind stands up & starts shouting (highly strung oriental chap). Dea
just matched you zippie. 10 player sit n go at our favourite site. I had 9-9. Flop is 9-9-J. Guy goes all in, other guy calls, I call. One shows j-j other q-q. turn is q, river q.

Oh, and the first fella out in the whole tourney was a will hill player who kinda knew being a will hill player myself. He gets QQ, flop Qxx. Turn another blank. Raising back & forth on turn with inevitable all ins. Oppo has KK. Dealer then of course rivers the K. He was sick as a pig, lasted 5 minutes & about 2 hands & all in with 95% chance.
Poker can be a very cruel game.

No need to get bad beats on this site zippie, just get disconnected and lose your chips without playing a hand or try and deposit in high stakes re-buy only to be booted off before you can blink.

yes gary a 1 outer 2 hearts as theres only one 2 hearts and another on the river a 6 of hearts as there is only one 6 of hearts hence the only way he could win was hitiing those cards i assume u were being sarcastic

You're still wrong its only a 1 outer on the river once the 2 of hearts hits the board on the flop he can hit 3's and 5's, so there is no such thing in this hand as hitting 1 outer and another 1 outer
seems you don't quite understand, requiring a 1 outer and 1 outer would be a hand like
JJ vs 45
Flop J 4 9 Turn 4 River 4

I had to laugh at this hand I played in: Dealt 9-J in the big blind, and was ready to fold to any pre-flop raise, but it flat calls round to me, so I get to check it and see a flop. Flop comes J-J-9 I check to see if I have any customers, and some Prince among poker players shoves all in[smiley:crazy] I can barely contain myself and smirk as I call He shows 8-8. Turn comes 8, I get a strange feeling in my guts, and phuck me if the other 8 doesn't come on the river
