Don't chase flushes

Position is everything

depends a lot imo what stakes you are playing.

big generalisation but lower stakes often nittier and much less bluffing.

at .25/.50 you often get clowns calling raises oop with hands like K443.

dont just 3 bet aces. raise in position. learn some of the %'s, some drawing hands are ahead of sets on the flop. try not to get freerolled and instead be the freeroller.

HTH :D

also in a hand with action, if you have the lower end of the straight you're probably in bad shape. a set of 10's on a coordinated board can be a disaster, you only fill up 25% of the time.

lastly i would get a squeeze ball or use a small eastern european child to hit with a plastic cricket bat as a stress relief tool. you will need it

you need to be very lucky to win

prob with 10's its the most vulnerable set to make, even a board like T8K you are behind or close enough to 9JQK and thats without fd's involved. prob is you have to bet strongly post flop and if you are raised you have a tough decision sometimes.
another useful strategy in plo is to find a reasonable player and call a few of his raises, often on scary boards you can reraise them out of the pot, just don't do it to someone who can't pass AAxx ;)

i won't be looking for you then imo

with a set of tens unless u fill up there is always a straight there by the river. a set of tens is rarely the nuts and in 6card you do need to peddle the nuts a lot more than in 4 card

be very wary of most sets actually and dont commit to much of your stack on draw heavy boards with sets especially multiway as you will almost always be a dog in the hand. it is possible/better sometimes to call the flop a lot then bet a freindly/safe turn card. pot control is very important in 6 card

6 card omaha as has been said above is a draw friendly game. on a board like KT7 if i had the monster wrap (AQJ89) with a flush draw my money goes in all day every day and is a big favourite even against a set of kings.

cheers anyway!

can't get any hand histories cos holdem manager only set up for holdem atm

tho i did call a turn bet with the nut flush draw, hit, value bet, he reraises me virtually all in, i push the extra bit and he passes

if you are multi tabling then imo its worth getting some plo tracking because you want to be able to quickly distinguish between someone playing 24/13 and 42/18
