Chipfire you do realise the 62 was a fav against AA here 52.5%.

When: 08 Feb 10 14:43
i very much doubt 6 2 was favourite vs aa pre flop. ;-)

all joking aside, the main reason i posted it was to highlight just how wide calling ranges have become in low stakes mtts.

the lad with aa hasnt really done anything wrong, indeed a few years ago you could even argue his pre flop raise is too big as it would ( and in my opinion should ) induce 2 folds.

once upon a time you would be betting about 75 pre with aa in that spot. the fact these greeks and cyps will call a bet of 110 pre flop second hand of the game with 6 2 suited is further evidence that sometimes it doesnt really matter what you bet, these guys wont fold 2 suited cards. ive seen people shoving 1500 *****into pots of 50 and getting called by suited junk.

the guy with kq suited wasnt favourite post flop either ;-)

Yea i agree but not that AA played the hand ok.The 62 doesnt really have the implied odds to see a flop and is an obv leak on his part,But the AA carved up this hand pretty bad , it was the kq that reraised pre and the AA just flatted behind, this is a huge mistake inviting in multi players.

the AA limped 1st then called the reraise and this was against a committed stack if he shoved, big oops by AA.
By:
chipfire227
When: 08 Feb 10 17:42
sorry my mistake, assumed from the betting the original raiser was the guy with aa.

the whole thing is a mess. they all played the hand shyte. :-)

this is probably a better example, approaching the bubble in mtt. really not sure how well i played this. to me ive pretty much exposed my hand pre flop. ive said to him i have such a good hand i really want you to call. the italian fella likes his q9 suited too much to consider folding.

even when he hits i have outs. which i miss obviously. does anyone fold pre in his position ?

I think pushing is better than small raising, and checking probably is too. but wtf do I know, as you obviously got them both to make a terrible call pre. After that, nothing you can do obv.

yeah i thought about shoving, but at that point im thinking this is as good a chance as im gonna get to double up, so i need to find a way to get action.

i know the italian or the cyp cant have an ace when they limp, so there are very few flops other than a paired board that are going to worry me.

essentially i was trying to bet enough to get the button to call, which if you take into account the antes he is getting a good price.

i also know that with what i have behind, when i shove the flop i probably get called by top pair.

that was the theory.

anyhow, its the suited connectors that are killing me at the moment rather than the any pair, any ace merchants.

As default i shove, but anything bar folding and flatting has to b fine
