Hi

I have hooked up my Samsung 26" LCD Tv to be used as a 2nd monitor, however The screen isn't very clear, Its really bright and glarey, if i play around with the settings it goes dull and glarey, sometimesthe black text shows as orange/blue

i have surfed the net and tried renaming the input channels to PC as suggested in 1 forum, have spoken to Samsung twice, and have tried downloading Samsung's 3rd party screen optimisation software which didn't work either

I am using a duel graphics card with DVi to HDMI cable, its not the card as i have upgraded to this one and it was the same with the previous card too

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

does the graphics card have its own separate control panel? If not then have you been into the pcs main control panel and checked the resolution settings on the 2nd monitor? Also, as its a TV, it may not have as high a reso as your other screen

Hi, yes it does have its own control panel, i have tried every setting, resolution, refresh rate and its still rubbish, i think it must be down to the quality of the screen

The only other thing i can think is that previously it was used as a PS3/XBOX screen and i wonder if that has done some damage, however it works perfectly as a TV
