well not to savour.. but i do have a sense of humour for this kinda thing, tho if i dont get this one off my chest i may spontaneously combust!
tried my luck at the £150 deep stack turbo. 10k starting stack with 15min levels. Got through the first hour uneventfully enough but play was aggressive as you might expect for a turbo with plenty of *****in in play.
im sitting with 14k with a tight image with 300/600 blinds with 50 ante, its 7 handed and folded to me UTG +2 i raise to 2500 with A4, folds to the button with 13k who calls.
flop comes 234, and i fiddle with my *****for abit then check, BB bets out 3k and i pretty much insta-shove, the BB called without a moments thought and shows A2. i was expecting to be dominated! But he called off all his stack and was himself dominated.
a quiet pause as the table realised what a shocking call the button had made, not a word said then eventually someone gasped "wow!" which pretty much summed it up. another player commented he was expecting aces or kings from someone.
the turn a blank, the river the 2.
if you cant see the funny side of this stuff then try something other than poker.
we had a nasty one at the club over the weekend down to the last 4 in the monthly league play off with 1K prize fund when the chip leader and shorty (club dealer) end up all in pre and both show JJ , only for the C/L to 4 flush

I think you played the hand bad. Once the flop comes you should have just shoved. Checking is just giving him a chance to bet and once he bets hes almost priced into calling an allin.
