Betfair have a HUGE amount of cash reserves which is one of the reasons they haven't floated yet. The poker brand would and could not go down without it affecting the rest of the brand, so it simply wouldn't happen.
While it's not as busy nor I guess as profitable as it was years ago, it's a product they must have in their suite for cross selling the rest of the products.

Thorpe, these aren't withdrawls but players monies kept by Betfair after their poker site crashed over a week ago. Refunds should be automatic and within 48 hours, but unfortunately the poker site is not organised as well as the sports betting.

I think the last valuation put Betfair valued at more than our national airline and something daft like $5bn. Don't quote me on that exactly, I just remember it being astronomical for a company that, at the time, had been operating for like 7 years.
