I will be going either 26/5/10 for week or 2/06/10 for a week...

I would like to try and qualify for one of the tournys that will be on around that time and prob cant afford to buy direct into any of them (1000 dollers) gonna be too much cos trip gonna be 2k plus all in anyway...

Which is best sites to qualify for the smaller tournys since i only wanna enter the 3 day tournys cos dont wanna play poker all week but just wanna be able to say i played in WSOP... :)

vegas virgin so any other advice would be appreciated... gonna book flights this weekend and was thinkin of booking hotels soon too or would it be worth leaving them till later..?

try and win the money on either a satellite or cash when you get out there. The standard of poker in vegas is very low and there are not many online sats to the side events

Agree with Beckton - there are sats running constantly at the Rio

Sheriff, thought I could help you out with a bit of a budget, assuming you are talking £2k and not that worried about staying in a top hotel.

Convert budget to $: $3200
Return Flight: $850
Hotel @ $50/night: $350
3 x In n Out Burgers per Day: $315
Entry into WSOP $1k event: $1000
$20 sundries per day: $140
Taxis to/from airport: $45
1/2 hour in Spearmint VIP Lounge: $500

TEG also excellent for xrates
Report Froggitt January 30, 2010 6:17 AM GMT
Agreed. Always use TEG or Crown or use the Travelex pricematch guarantee to those two if youre leaving it late.
Report Froggitt January 30, 2010 6:18 AM GMT
But those Crown cancelled contracts at $1.75 look unbeatable.

There are regular WSOP tournaments at the Rio with a buy ins ranging from $175 and up if you just want to say you've played in one. Not all of them cost $1k min.
