I was wondering this myself as I never played with him after the crypto days.

Assume he has got stuck in the realm of the normal world

but to make and lose £180 000 in a few months proves he was a sick gambler,,, can't see him giving it up!
Report Dooberama January 16, 2010 7:50 PM GMT
From what I saw he had quite a few attempts at rebuilding and got battered each time. He got a massive wait list whenever he played, I guess he just accepted he wasn't much good and moved on. Whether it was choice or forced I don't know.

Hello poke :)
Report Nova Sicko January 16, 2010 7:52 PM GMT
he used to play 250/500nl which was fairly crazy though
Report McCoy Carp January 16, 2010 7:58 PM GMT
Was he lucky and rubbish then? And if so, over what period?
Report pokerfool January 16, 2010 7:59 PM GMT

Over what period. It's important.
Report pokerfool January 16, 2010 8:03 PM GMT
all is good. Not really making huge amounts anymore. Dunno why, just on the small stuff on BF and Bet365. Still do my yearly vegas thing tho. what about you? Still sports betiing on the golf?

Over about 8 mths to get up to 180k. Look at his blog. It is called 88% concentration
Report Nova Sicko January 16, 2010 8:13 PM GMT
he was playing near 6 figure stacks at 40/80 on crypto at his peak and 100/200 250 500 on betfair

belive the killer session was against holein2?
Report Dooberama January 16, 2010 8:32 PM GMT
I maybe remember it wrong, but I thought his spin ups were really short. Like he would spin up to $100k and it would all be gone 2 weeks later kind of thing. I remember him buying a house (or at least putting the deposit on one). i just wish he'd have bough the whole thing for cash, because I fear the worst on that one.

Somebody must still be in touch, I know gatsby used to speak to him quite a lot?

He does what 99.99999% of poker players do... keep moving up a level until you find a game that beats you
Report ChrisWidge January 16, 2010 10:06 PM GMT
I would not be surprised if he was dead.180k swing to the person on the street. Unreal!
Report Blue eyes January 16, 2010 10:06 PM GMT
Wise words JPJ. It's the worlds most elaborate pyramid scheme. Unless, of course, you spot your break even level.
