I'm switching over from troublesome BT and want to go to Virgin.

If you have had as much trouble with BT like I have, you will appreciate Virgin's hook of 'UK Based Customer Support'....

Virgin's customer support is bloody woeful

But at least I should be able to understand them, and they me.

seriously their customer service is worse than bt. Just becauise they are in England doesnt mean they are any more competeent. Quiet the opposite actually

I will reserve my judgement for Virgin until they cause me the same amount of grief as BT have.

I just get lots of 'we are most incomprehensibly perturbed by your prolonged problematic tecnological anomolies that you tend to be discovering during your leisuring time activities surfing the internetical highways and I am personally appreciating it very much for your understandings'.

Me: So when are you going to be able to resolve this bottlenecking issue? (I even know myself now that it's down to my IP profile settings after having 5 engineers visit my house, the local exchange and the main exchange and I've seen the internal reports as one engineer was getting**ssed of with it).

BT: Our engineers will do a line check and we will call you back within 48 hours.

Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo - I've had over a DOZEN FKING LINE CHECKS FFS.

And also annoyingly, they all call me on the wrong mobile number which I have asked them to delete dozens of times as I don't use it or have it on anymore so miss their calls. And I'm fecked if I am going to leave it on because BT can't follow simple requests. Not only that, they also read through the notes while I am on the line wasting my time and I end up having to explain it all again as they can't understand their own colleagues' notes.

FFS, you got me on life tilt now.

virgin were rea\lly really really difficult to cancel
Report Semi Skimmed Milk January 18, 2010 12:18 PM GMT
As long as they're a good broadband provider I won't want to cancel.

I don't care about value or customer service as much as I do about reliability and speed. It's just coincidence BT **ced up on all points.

Would recommend you taking a look at 02.
Unlimited Wireless broadband - (not had any disconnection problems with them so far after 10 months). I also combine 150 mins and 300 txts (rollinh monthly contract). Both combined £19.99.

Not good for a home network though, Splasher - I need it for the family to all use at the same time.
