Hi fellas,

The girlfriend has started to bug me about the time I spend using the pc and doesn't like the laptop so I think it will be easier to get her one. She spends about 5 hours a week using the thing so don't want to spend much.

Any idea of the best place to pick up a 2nd hand pc? I have a monitor so only really need a tower, keyboard and mouse.

Really appreciate any help!

I think you would be better off buying a cheap new pc. You can get some very cheap laptops with low specifications. 2nd hand pcs might be on their last legs - computers have a crazy amount of teethign problems and things that can go wrong.

Maybe my gf could have the old one and get myself a new, but still cheap one. What would I need for poker and abit of surfing?

Sorry, Im hopeless with I.T stuff.

Even though we've 3 PC's and 2 laptops, I'm using a netbook that cost me £144 for all my poker. My Acer Aspire One really is a go anywhere machine.

Unfortunately they now cost around £200 but I would seriously consider buying one (no good for multi tabling although at a stretch I could fit 4 tables onto my screen).

Any modern PC/ Laptop/ Netbook can handle internet and poker applications. You don't need any bells and whistles for what your after.
