'millos'. surely not connected to the other accounts. classic wins 2/3 $2,500 sng and does things like goes all in LEVEL ONE A6o v JJ and hits, Getting ridiculous now.
I played in Italy last year. In a 1000 Euro MTT I get sucked out twice by the same player. Starting stack 10,000 - was down to 500 and moved to a new table - Over the next 6 levels I managed to come back to 45,000 and right near the bubble Im moved to a table with the same guy - takes me down with KQ vs AA. He even asked if Id show and I said that I would, if he called. He still called me and hit KK on the flop. Maybe its just an Italian thing?

Thank You. Well I like to share, Im sorry that I wasted my time on you. The point I was making is that maybe its an Italian thing? All the ones that Ive come across seem to play crazy.

Winkle the problem is that these new accounts are playing near perfect poker. Then they do a random awful bad play every other game that comes off. For example $2,500 game last night millos has 1200 *****level 1 and goes all in with A6o and naturally beat Jay Pognon's JJ. Sansone played great in 6 games except for one all in into a small pot with a gutshot which naturally hit. The new accounts are either the best sng players in the world, or somehow **ing. It is not possible to keep getting so lucky. Why would anyone appear to be playing better than almost anyone else in the world and then make an absolutely awful play which always works out.

Yeah, that doesnt make sense. They win a few and then change username? I guess its not impossible that someone could hack into the backbone, though I would think this is very unlikely. But I'll take it up with the Betfair people when I arrive in Aussie on Thursday.

Maybe the 'New player= RunGood' theory is more than just a theory.
Fruit machines in the 1990's were programmed to payout a small win, giving a small profit, in the first few spins. 99% of people would then carry on playing and lose.
Some people have speculated this is also programmed into alot of poker software, maybe these new winning accounts that then disappear have discovered its more than just wild speculation.

This whole thread is nonsense. People can't decide these days if superusers know which cards their opponents have or know which cards are going to come out on the turn and river.

For what its worth I will still have a word with their rep when I get to Melbourne.
I think a superuser or a hacker who can influence the outcome is extremely unlikely but of course is not impossible, though I believe Betfair would have taken a proper look at the history of those players involved and must be genuinely satisfied ? - a scandal would not only destroy their poker business but the rest of their business too - so I believe that they certainly couldnt believe that anything untoward is going on, though from a poker players perspective its certainly doesnt look right I agree.
The "Italian Thing" obviously doesnt apply since your last post.
I guess someone could have gone on extreme tilt suddenly but again I agree this is extremely unlikely
I believe that the most likely explaination is that this play makes a move of this type because he believes it may pay in the long run if they show a move like that (hoping to get lucky but accepting that they may not) - and then cleaning up on later games when either the person they are playing or someone who has been watching as a result starts playing differently against them, and they go back to their usual game?
Who knows for sure though mate

No matter what anyone thinks something is clearly wrong when $2,500/$5000 games that start just a few days in the year suddenly have new accounts registering for them on a weekly basis all have Italy as location all win big and vanish.
A massive winning player would not quit after several sessions. If they are allowed to keep coming back with a new alias on literally a weekly basis then betfair poker should be shut down.

In poker this is the standard explanation yet it does not apply here because of the following reasons.
1) To advertise a bad play you need to untick automuck and show the hand when opponents fold, if you go all in so weak you only look like a bad player if you are actually called otherwise your opponent has no idea what you had.
2) Why try and set opponents up pretending you are bad if after 10-20 games you are going to quit the site.

Very relevant point, that is the bit that makes no sense for me!

You make some good points Iron. 20 games could be enough at that level to walk away with a decent profit before changing aliases again though? Mind you nobody can be that bad at that level so a little variance would through that plan off track. Yeah, its all a bit strange. I dont believe that Betfair realise that anything is going on, they have too much to lose but I do agree now weighing everything up that it is a lot more possible than I originally thought that something is going on, and it is ultimately Betfair that have most to lose here so perhaps they should look again or not allow people more than a couple of accounts because it does open up the possibility of abuse.

Allez you little windup merchant. I promise that youre not in trouble. Im not angry with you. I wont tell teacher. I know all these little games are good fun with your friends in the school playground but this is a website where big persons come to talk to each other about grown up things and they dont talk call each other names because of something called "maturity".What it means is when you get past a certain age you stop beahaving like a child and behave like an adult but dont worry about things like that yet. When you get to about 15 you'll start to understand it a little better. In the mean time Have you finished your homework because teacher wont be happy and its bedtime soon?

Sorry I cant get past your post where you suggest that a player, in which stakes he would have a 53-55% EXPECTED WINRATE AT THE MOST, would throw a game on purpose in a 10game period, which would make his expected ROI NEGATIVE. THis is a poker forum. If you have no idea what you talking about just post your stories elsewhere

Its the equivalent of suggesting a football team choose to play with 9 men. If you posted that on there you would be ridiculed.
Luckily for you poker is not as solved hence why people dont pick up on ridiculous posts

You have no idea. We can play whenever you wish, for whatever stakes you like, on any site you like.
Winning anything on bf means zero, going to Australia to play means less.

Allez, as I said, save all this b9ll** for the playground. I dont pay for money, I play for fun, but I do ok. I have big boys stuff to do now. Have fun

Or simply pick a different thread. Chelsea M is trying to play devils advocate with some comments and thats fair enough. Constructive input only on this thread please, it is quite a serious issue. Quite often if somebody plays a $2,500+ game and wins they will not even rematch and drop back down in stakes. These accounts have never ever to my knowledge lost the first game that they have entered. Allez you can ask ROTD and IRAISEDAPOT what they think about these games, you haven't been on betfair for long enough to recall situations from the past where we appear to have been stung for tens of thousands.

Anyone that suggests people are throwing games to get action should be sanctioned. As you said, not enough games are played or they drop down after so it is just not an option

Allez, that would be slightly dangerous considering I beat 650 last year. For someone who comes across as so logical how you can make a statement like that about someone you don't even know confirms my original opinion of you, that you're either too young to be here or youre just another loser who has not hing better to do with their time than try to wind up others.Well you didnt succeed with me. You mean less than nothing to me so why should I care?
People like you that look to pick fights and abuse people that they don't know are not my kind of people. They were put on this earth to clean my shoes in the morning - so forgive me if I dont respond to your next "challenge" or "putdown" or whatever you think may bother me. My time is worth a lot more than yours and Im not prepared towaste any more of it on you.Have fun with your next "victim".Bye

If they are playing near perfect poker, how come they do a random awful bad play every other game? This would surely make them borderline rubbish?

15Stone10Lbs, you seriously need to grow up Why do you feel the need to follow me around every thread like a lost dog and make stupid comments and spelling my name wrong (on purpose)? Does it give you a hard on?

This is the point, they play perfect except for a few occasional bad plays, sometimes horrendous in which they are always rewarded for. So good play...win...awful play....win
